Love when people without foldable phones comment on durability lol. I have an Honor V Purse (currently the real thinnest phone ever, not the V3) which is an outward folding phone and have dropped it many times, even into a shallow puddle of dirty water on dusty concrete with rocks. Picked it up and no serious damage and operates perfectly. I have a couple hairline barely visible scratches and maybe one or two other marks on the folding display but those are only visible under extreme lighting and extreme angles when you are specifically looking for marks. Regular smartphone glass will get those same marks too FYI. Foldables are way more durable than people imagine and mine is proof.

    Doesn't matter how good the bend tests/reviews are, because none of them are focused on the screen a month after.

      Not many people are concerned with the outer part. That part is good enough with decent gorilla glass protection and water resistance. The main problem is the inner screen which a toddler can just chew through. I don't want to have to baby my phone 24/7. Until we got some sort of tough glass that bends, this tech is going to be for people who use their phone for a year at best and use it with OCD levels of care.

        that is the biggest concern. it is hard to find a protective case and they are too expensive to ignore protection. one other topic is hinge durability in long run. hard to test but, it must literally last 150-200K folds (6-7 years). they also increased software support to 5 years. good job honor.

          Still easily scratches with just a fingernail. Doesn't matter how tough the rest of the phone is when it's main selling point is it's weakest. All this video showed is that foldables are still fragile where it matters the most.
