A modern middleclass chip can easily last a few years without really feeling slow (and it would benefit the SE in terms of battery life too, I assume)

Most new budget phones with slower chips like the Snapdragon 695 will only last about a year before they start to feel slow

If Apple wants a fourth phone, they should do an annual SE, i.e. a truly cut-down phone. Maybe they can even include a headphone jack to show how cheap it is.

Battery is always poor, screen is so small you need to zoom all the time, everything is cramped when you try to read it or look at it. And all for what? Just to sit nice in my pocket. Neah..is 2024, phones are media devices now in the first place. If I would want just a small phone in my pocket, I will buy a Nokia with buttons.

Plus, there are second hand stores (at least in Czechia, who give 12 months warranties) and sometimes even refurbished iPhones appear at cheaper prices.

You cannot get iPhone Pro 15 after 16's release. It is for one single reason, to hide the lack of innovation from one release to the next. All are the same in 3 years span. Instead on making the case thicker with good grips on sides and double battery capacity, they make the same shinny shitty slim case which is a waste of materials and people's savings on yearly release.

The SE because of the laughably outdated tech sheet despite the positives, the standard iPhone for just being too expensive, also offering too little when compared to Android phones at that price range. It's not a surprise most people go for a Pro or Pro Max when the alternatives suck so much. At this point the standard iPhone is shit on purpose, just to not lose too many sales to it and it is just evil.

Kek, 25 Aug 2024Maybe in iPhone 18 they dip their toes with the mini again...Once they make it so useful that professional use it instead of laptop, or least to say predominantly no need to bother about the size, also to manufacture an off sized upper uber high resolution screen! Even apple can't afford a foundry.
