Truth to be told, most users dont care about "settings too cluttered" and "simpler UI".

If i were Xiaomi, i would buy Unisoc division and i would build my own processors.

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2024G90T is mediatek not unisoc bud.🤣I think he means that Unisoc or Xiaomi has a moment with this new SoC similar to when MediaTek had G90T back then. Hence, G90T moment but for Unisoc.

lol so apple failed but Xiomi did it.

my 2 cents - US will have to revert to market protectionism pretty soon.

Huawei and Xiaomi can wipe the floor with Apple, cause they can offer amazing device for lower price. Ask TikTok how hard they are trying to remove them from US 😉

                          This is half-true.
To be able to unlock the bootloader. the phone need to be used AT LEAST for 1 month in the ORIGIN country. So, if you buy China version and use it outside of China from day 1, then you can't unlock the bootloader. But, otherwise, the bootloader is not locked.

Anonymous, 27 Aug 2024G90t moment for unisocRight?
This will surely lead to Qualcomm getting off their lazy arses and make more competitive (and cheaper?) products instead of just rehashing the 695 lol

Xiaomi wants to try and make it's own processor, like Tensor with Google, Kirin with Huawei, Mediatek Pro series with Nothing, Exynos with Samsung, Bionic with Apple etc.
                              How is this bad?
                              The more competition, the better.
Plus it gives Unisoc a chance to shine. The little guys deserve a break too.

Mediatek grew into an actual threat to Qualcomm, so I hope Xiaomi and Unisoc create something that also poses a threat!

                                        OnePlus, Lenovo, Omnivision, Tplink, Tiktok.

These companies did not get sanctions because either they are not threat to american companies or don't have potential to surpass american companies, except only one. Tiktok generated highest revenue in a year and it caught big bully's attention, and you know the farce this bully created after that. Either sell the company to american company or get banned.

Moral of the story - Any non-american company never gets sanctions until they they threaten american company's market position or business.

p.s - I'm not a fan of Huawei (never used their device ever) but not a us soft power terrorism supporter either.
