Calling this phone compact is beyond ridiculous.
There's NOTHING compact about it. Nothing. At over 15cm tall and with a giant 6.4" screen, this is the antithesis of compact. Even by the ridiculous Freudian standards of today.

Nowadays where most companies are following apple(for good or bad, IDC) a compact phone should be similar to iphone 13 mini's size.

I believe what is compact or not is subjective and there will always be conflicting opinions whether a phone is really compact or not.
I have tried to look at the distribution of the dimensions of phones announced in the last couple of years, and these are the classifications that broadly emerge based on the footprint (which I have named according to my own opinion, others can have a differing opinion)
< 100 cm2 - Compact
100-110 cm2 - Sub-compact
110-120 cm2 - Regular
120-130 cm2 - Large
Edge 50 neo with 109.7 cm2 just about qualifies to be called a 'sub-compact' phone going by the average trend today.

And those phones 6.6 are trays, they are not phones.
Anyone who wants to buy a decent 6.1 phone has no choice. Only S series or iphone.
Don't just say that there is no demand for smaller phones. So why do they make 6.1 flagships (both Samsung and Apple) then? As far as I could find, s23 was sold like this: Ultra 60%, Plus 20%, vanilla 20%. So there is a demand!

Smaller battery in favor of Qi was huge mistake.
Neo should be equal to 50,but different SoC ..
I bet again some markets get 512gb ufs3.1 while other pay higher prices for 256gb ufs2.2.
