This feature is enabled from the server side by Google, so users don't have to do anything to enable it.

Ellen Dale, 31 Aug 2024It really won't make a difference in day to day usage ... moreOh it will if you have a phone with eMMC. Even updating apps one at a time will slow down the phone into a laggy mess.

As they said above, after Android 5 I haven't felt any changes! Only number changes

Even If it updates one app at a time, most of it happens in the background and I won't really care.
And I barely download apps simultaneously
                  But still, good implementation 👍

I hope this will also work for people who download the updates manually because they don't want to update all apps for certain reasons. Yet I bet this won't happen because Google want to force users to update all apps. There was an option back in time when users were allowed to choose app-wise per opt-in or opt-out which apps are updated automatically and which not. But as we all know this feature has been killed to force people updating all apps and not being able to choose. Beside that best way would be downloading certain amount of apps simultaneously in the background pending on your internet speed or manually configured in the play store settings. For new fast smartphones the simultaneous installation of apps is of course appreciated.

Unironically the best feature this year. Makes life sooo mucb easier

This adds no value to the average end user, since updates are installed automatically in the background, usually when the phone is being charged and you are likely not using it at the moment.

I bet this doesn't really change anything for those who are still stuck with eMMC 5.1 storage. 💀😭
