This feature is enabled from the server side by Google, so users don't have to do anything to enable it.

Nothing new in that. The first two android version used to update all apps simultaneously without any problem. 😎😎😎 Google itself distructed that by updating in new android version of software. Now they are bringing it back to Market again.!!!

What's so special in it ????

Sergio Luiz, 31 Aug 2024Nice to see Google Play Store finally catching up with Apto... moreI mean, I appreciate googles implementation, but if a user can't put the da... phone down for half an hour, not sure who's at fault here. I've never watched for my apps to update, I've also never waited for them to update. But then again, I use my phone for work, not play, so I generally try to waste as little time as possible

SShock, 31 Aug 2024It's so funny high end phones have more RAM and cores ... moreYou can actually update 4 at a time. I just tried installing 5 apps at a time, it started downloading 4 apps and the fifth one was on pending.

I think 3/4 is a good number. I always get max download speed when I am downloading apps from play store, so downloading many apps at same time would slow things down. On the other hand, I think it would be even better if the 5th one starts downloading once any one app is downloaded but is still installing. This didn't happen, and it still waits for one app to completely install before starting the next one.

Finally. I have been resetting my s24u couple of times in last 2 weeks due to some issue, and this is what irritated me a lot. I understand we can't install all app at once, but at least do 2-3 at a time or start downloading the second one when the first one is downloaded and installing.

I don't know why this was not even possible till now, but yeah finally it's here.

So i figured what could possibly destroy my budget phone. It was this absolutely idiotic thing. I was fine with updating one at a time. No problem. Even if i could choose if i want to update one at a time or 3 i would be fine. Now I'm forced to update 3 at a time which kills the chip. In a 2 hour period the phone restarted 17 times by itself. I'm updating otherwise most apps are slowing down, but I don't want to lose functionality for updating. An option to update only at night one at a time when I'm not using the phone, why is there nothing like that? I don't want to update during the day, neither do i want to crush the system by having 3 updates at the same time. Don't just consider phone above a certain capacity.

SShock, 31 Aug 2024It's so funny high end phones have more RAM and cores ... moreIts useless when you have good phone but on bad networks. With today's network technology you can download some gb app only some minutes. Imagine if you download 3-4 app simultaneously on slow 3g network. In my opinion, google not late, just wait good moments.

Play Store doesn't update the apps automatically, it doesn't even show notifications about apps need to be updated. So I go into settings and turn off notifications. Now it shows me the bell with the number on it. It says turn on the notifications.
So, I disabled Play Store. I won't update anything forever... Just checking how long it will take.

What's the point? Installing 3 apps one by one and installing 3 apps simultaneously should take approximately the same amount of time, shouldn't it?

It's so funny high end phones have more RAM and cores than some desktop PC's and you're sitting there watching apps update 1 by 1 forever. This update to 3 at once (why not 4?) is 5 years late at minimum.

Nice to see Google Play Store finally catching up with Aptoide’s feature of installing/updating multiple apps simultaneously. It’s a small but handy improvement that can save a lot of time for users with many updates. Better late than never, I guess

What we need is the feature to downgrade an app, back to 3 or more versions. Not this.

Aptoide has been doing this for years

This is should've been a thing 5 years ago. I can't believe how long it's taken Google to do this.

Noticed that some days ago. Works fine on my Samsung S24 Plus. Also scroll lag is gone. Navigation is very smooth. In fact play store always opens faster than ios app store. Even in midrange phones.
