Samsung Galaxy S25 to only use Snapdragon chips, Fold7 and Flip7 get Exynos 2500

02 September 2024
That would be an interesting change of strategy.

This would allow Samsung to increase margins for foldables.
Do not be surprised if it happens.

If they csn keep the heat down I don't see the issue with it tbh. People aren't buying flips for cod mobile on ultra graphics

Idk about putting an Exynos chip in a Z Flip. If the thermals are abysmal now with a Snapdragon chip, it'll be worse with Exynos.

          Wooooooow Amazing....SD 4 Life

Unlikely. The foldables are the most premium product, and it would be marketing suicide if Samsung went Exynos exclusively on the fodlables. It makes more sense for the S25 series to go all Exynos.

Either that, or they are all snapdragon (if Exynos has yield issue).

Unless Samsung does some magic that Exynos 2500 is superior to Qualcomm's Oryon cores, which is highly unlikely.

Its efficiency isn't the same as Qualcomm, Mediatek or Apple's chips and it doesn't perform as well either. Worse battery + worse performance for the same price in other countries.

Both Exynos and Tensor suck and should be banned until they can fix the efficiency or provide 20-40% discounts.

But Pixel 9? Damn, that is a phone of S24 price with A55 performance. Don't get me wrong, but the Pixel 9 is slightly more powerful than A55 and almost as power as 4 years old Apple A14 Bionic.

My point is, these people complain that Google puts in a flagship killer type of chip in a fully priced flagship but find ways to defend Samsung's practices of doing the same. Both are bad and both companies need to be held accountable but if sales are gonna be high/basically the same regardless, what's the point anymore? Consumers don't care about their own safety anymore. They think companies always think for their betterment. They should go sit down in a business class and see how companies are always looking for ways to take advantage of consumers.

Low sales of foldables in China that are not made by Huawei.
                        Even lower than samsung there.

Oppo and Vivo are not sure about keep making them much longer.

Its only a rumor and i dont think so since samsung can ern money from thei CPUs.

There must be some reason behind it. Maybe it's so that the difference between the Find N3 and N4 seems huge? Or maybe it's because they've got some really cool vision for the N4.

                              Only time will tell.

Not only that but hte battery will probably be less than 5000mah again. Oneplus fold 2 should be the one to look forward to

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2024No d9400 even in base phone?Reserved for their high-end tablets which will only come in Dimensity this time.

the Samsung fanboys get mad at Google for having Tensor but how are they gonna react to this? I've seen so many exynos sympathizers to know that there'll be at least 20% of android users trying to justify this in some way.

Also, the Fold and flip getting it instead of the S series has to be the biggest middle finger to any consumer out there lmao

Anyways, this is just a rumour, I like rumours cus they stir up pointless drama and it's fun

It's great for the S25 series but I hope it won't end up like the S23, which was just a chip upgrade. Especially with the price hike!
