What ugly phone. And what for 20 MP just to make it more expensive. What a screen? We have type of Edge to Edge screen like Moto X phone. Finally trying to copy the Galaxy Note series doesn't help at all.

Moto X all the way... For better experiance and better price from Google and Moto.
      They would try Bada OS.
      Sony failed!

Its a clear statement to cut the megapixel amount of 41 in half and if Sony's camera performs better... oh boy. However I believe its about the camera app as well and how well that is made along with sharing n stuff... hope Sony comes up with innovations on that too.

I still don't get why Sony's so damn up and about certifying their phones with water & dust resistant. Those flaps covering those connectors aren't sturdy enough to last.

It even uses the same old "dual core" Krait CPU. If you will say that WP8 doesn't lag even with just a dual core to give an excuse then you still have to admit that Nokia isn't stepping the game up. They should at least keep up with the standards that is why I can also say that Nokia EOS is more of a cameraphone than an all around smartphone.

Samsung have a 13mp camera with a small sensor and it's so successful.

Sony alongside LG and especially HTC have the best phone designers or architects out there. It is only a fanboy who will say that Sony sucks in design department, only a fanboy of Samsung or Apple will say that Sony's designs are ugly.

TVKC, 23 Jul 2013Ok... Sony Sensors are used in Xperia Phones, in the iPhone... moreThe point is that, for example, S4 has the same camera module as Xperia Z, but the S4 makes infinitely better photos (check the reviews). So, Sony makes good camera modules but Sony developers don't know how to use them. I hope they make it right this time.

I was really delaying the purchase of S4 to see what Sony will come up with. Well - Xperia Z design with beefy hardware but the ugly black bezel, the on screen buttons and UI put me off big time!! The phone was said to begin a new era for Sony but I can't see it going anywhere...
BTW: regardless to what all portals and leaks say I don't believe that little slot under the camera (which is in wrong place anyway) is a Xenon flash.
                                  Maybe next time Sony...

Guess what? You'll fail hard. I think Samsung already have done that with its Galaxy Zoom and everybody knows the results.

Ugly? Yeah right. How many awards for the beauty Sony won? None. Lumia(s)? 2-3.

Keep building jealousy in yourself hardcore blind Sony fanboy. It will only lead you towards arrogance.

To be fair with Sony, I have to admit that they are one of the OEMs who really know how to design their devices. This is not too different with the Xperia Z but the design isn't that bad at all. I just hope that the bezels are more like the bezels on the ZL so it will be more attractive. We haven't seen this in real life so we should not judge it first. I like the fact that this uses the new Snapdragon 800 but I think I have to wait for the reviews on the camera performance for me to decide if I should go for this or go with LG's G2 instead. I know that the phone's screen with Triluminous technology already fixed the problem with the Xperia Z's screen. Now if the camera on this phone performs above average and better than most of the flagships there then I might consider Sony as my next phone but if the camera is another mediocre like the Z then I will go with G2. I just hope that both phones have great speakers since based on the photos of the Honami, it has a very big speaker at the bottom part of the phone while G2 has dual speakers also located at the bottom of the device. I was excited for the Nokia 1020 but when I saw the same old processor instead of the rumored Snapdragon 800 then I changed my mind again. I will stick with the Android platform but I will carefully choose the best before the holiday season since the competition is getting tougher nowadays. I will choose the best device that will replace my well loved HTC One X plus. Best of luck Sony!
