So one of the cheapest known brand Snapdragon X Plus 8 core laptop will cost 899$?
Let that sink in for a second, Intel and AMD sell laptops with dedicated gpus for that price, and upgradable RAM.

how this sh*t can bring laptops prices lower? because from what I see, the price that they offer isn't cheap compared to its specs..! So, why would I buy it if I can even get a gaming laptop with proven intel/amd within the sampe price range?

withput support for x86 apps they are useless...

I always love when companies release an inferior version of an existing product and give it the same name. Actually, all processors (amd, intel, qualcomm) should be called just CPU. Nobody cares which model it is, how performant it is or any of that difficult stuff

X Elite and friends are mentioned because they are beefed up mobile chips, which are strong, problem is windows compatibility. Lunar Lake looks promising.

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2024Coming from a person who never tested it lolsure, go ahead and buy one yourself then spend 1k dollars for a laptop that can't do anything a normal cpu can (even if it's arm based bla bla) without being emulated and hot out garbage. it's not even optimal for the price just junk.

Had more expectations from Snapdragon tbh. Turns out Intel's Lunar Lake beats in terms of efficiency and the latter doesn't come with the disadvantage of pretty much zero games working on it (and other potential compatibility issues). Granted, this year's Intel is wildly impressive beyond expectations, but still.
