And I tend to agree with their assessment. Huawei was in the ascendency before the ban and were already outselling Apple worldwide. It was only a matter of time before they would do that in the US and so they were banned from entering the US market. The US also played dirty trying to get them banned worldwide and forcing them into purchasing 5G-less Qualcomm chips.
Right now, they're overcoming the US sanctions and picking up where they left off. They're already building up some serious momentum.

Apple controls half the market, then Samsung with 30%, then everyone else in single digits (Motorola, Google, Oneplus, ect).

Median age in China is 40 in 2030 46. Over 20 years 50 around 2075 even 60 years.
Huawei is favorable among Chinese nationalists and elderly people being the prime buyers of smartwatches, so that brand will have a continued high market presence in the wearables segment.

Seriously, China has more than enough of It's own people to keep watch over, yet some people think they have no better thing to do than spying on common people from western countries.
BTW, Chinese government also banned their employees from using Apple phones in office.
I think It's not hard to guess why.

But judging ... more"Don't know how this development will affect Huawei's global success. but with all the negative reports surrounding Huawei in Europe (no Goole services on their devices and spying accusations: Huawei network technology used by China government) I don't see an increase on outer china markets."
You say that the spying accusations are a problem for global success, yet missing Google services is also a problem according to you. Don't you know how much Google is spying on you, yet that doesn't matter to you? Then why should It matter to you or anyone else If Huawei is spying or not? If Huawei is really spying then you can bet other smartphone makers are doing the same thing just for a different government.
So what If Chinese government or military is using Huawei network in their own country? Why Is It a problem? Other governments(military) are also using networks but from different companies, yet that's not a problem, no one is banning those companies.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024where is garmin?Garmins are for a specific niche market: athletes (mainly runners). They're for serious sportspeople tracking their minute detailed metrics, and would be overkill (also overpriced) for casual smartwatch users. They'll fine though, even they don't get huge market shares like other manufacturers. They have their extremely loyal fanbase.

The security concerns surrounding Huawei’s 5G network systems have certainly impacted their reputation in some Western markets. It will be interesting to see how these concerns influence consumer behavior in the long run. However, Huawei's strong presence in other regions 🌍 shows that they’re still a major player globally. Let’s see how they navigate this challenge 😊

Roter Drache, 05 Sep 2024No. Look at the numbers. Huawei shipped 8.9 million devices... moreYou make a great point by comparing the sales numbers inside and outside of China. It’s true that Huawei still relies heavily on its home market, while Xiaomi has a more balanced global presence. However, with Huawei’s recent advancements, like the return to 5G chips and strengthening innovations, they might be able to improve their international standing. It’ll be interesting to see if they can reduce their dependence on the domestic market and grow further outside of China.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 2024So you think that the future will be the same as the present.Hard too tell since I'm not an economist. But judging by the recent toll wars between China and western countries (Europe, USA, Kanada...) mainly because of EVs (electric cars) Chinese government could put extra taxes on foreign electronic goods. Also Chinese customers get influenced by these economic war and tend to purchase Chinese goods (support Huawei). That would give Huawei a boost on Chinese market. Don't know how this development will affect Huawei's global success. but with all the negative reports surrounding Huawei in Europe (no Goole services on their devices and spying accusations: Huawei network technology used by China government) I don't see an increase on outer china markets.
