If you keep the comparison one dimensional and compare number Vs number you can easily write it this off as "only the battery"

Now if you view from the perspective of smartphone history and battery development stagnation...

This is indeed generational we are talking about si-carbon batteries going in mass production/mainstream

On gsmarena we have another si-carbon honor watch 5 with 15 day battery..

And you say you'd prefer 20g lighter 5000mah but I believe youll change this idea long-term why?

It's very possible over the next generations of si-carbon battery chemistry you will have to completely rewire your expectations/measure of how heavy bigger batteries are

We may get to a point where tomorrow's 6000mah is as light as today's 4000mah

Missed opportunity to have the dimensity 7300 pr 7350

It would have destroyed battery life world records

Please lord I hope one manufacturer figure out this god level battery efficiency combination

There's a 90% chance of getting this rebranded into Vivo V40e with minor tweaks of 4× 1.96GHz Cortex A55 in this phone. I won't be surprised anymore.

Anonymous, 05 Sep 20246 Gen 1 easily supreme compared to the 695 even from a ISP/... moreGood point! The 6 Gen 1 does outperform the 695 in key areas like ISP and resolution support. While it's a compromise compared to higher-end chips, it still delivers solid performance for most users in this price range

I disagree, it’s not much different from Y200 Pro apart from battery, but that one comes at the cost of higher weight and I‘d prefer 20g lighter with 5000mAh+44W instead of 6500mAh+80W. The chip is on a newer node but Samsung instead of TSMC. The camera loses OIS. And better waterproofing good in case of accident, but not that much better than before. That’s about it really, some design changes.

The 12GB/512GB variant does seem pricey, but the overall design and performance for $250 are quite impressive. The 6 Gen 1 chipset might be a compromise, but it’s still a solid choice for the price

Impressive specs on the vivo Y300 Pro, but it’s unclear if it will be available outside China. It’d be great if this phone makes it to international markets.

Mostly solid phone, though the variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage seems uncompetitive at its price point. I love the soft curved aesthetic, and the minimal bezels on a phone this cheap certainly help make it look great. The camera circle is a bit bland compared to the Vivo X100 Pro or Ultra, but what can you expect on phones at this price point anyway. The 6,500mAh Glacier battery tech is amazing for this price point as well. 6 Gen 1 is its only problem, but completely tolerable when otherwise its a very solid phone overall for the $250 price tag.
