As european, looking and prices, and with the dying battery of iPhone 12, i might aswell going just to throw money at Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Apple's design and "innovation" since iPhone 12 was disappointing big time (just to correct myself - innovation in my eyes died at iPhone 4, design at 12). It pains me that the last actual attempts at innovation died together with Steve Jobs...

Seems smoke & mirrors to me 48MP quad bayer being only 12MP resolution the 2x zoom advertised will have the same 3MP resolution the iPhone 12 Pro Max 2x had: no progress there then. Then there is the almost certain totally terrible ultrawide lens possibility (as anyone who has tried to use the M2 iPad Pro's can attest to), and the only panoramas possible again from the standard main cam- no ultrawide panoramas for tight spaces huge vistas and getting into the picture everything you can see around you with your own eyes...
Main cam panoramas are only the standard wide-angle format which simply is NOT wide enough, and gives you a narrow strip of landscape instead of all of it.
Of course if Pro Res video is only for those who get 256GB storage.... this adds to improvements Apple may make over the next 20 years or so. Just dont hold your breath that will change either. At least you have emergency satellite access to complain globally about it now!!

On average VAT is around 20% on phones in Europe but it differs by country. For example in Germany it's 19%, 20% in the UK and 23% in Ireland. Roughly 20% in most European countries. Therefore to compare US prices with European prices like for like you should add around 20% to the US price and then compare

Samsung s24 8/128 gb can be found for 550€ in Europe. Almost 2 of them for 1 iphone 16 with 60 hz screen. Ridiculous.

FatShady, 10 Sep 2024cause they're not made there.You pay material import tax but not for the product itself. It is usually already included in the full price of product. Import tax I'm talking is different. US Apple customers doesn't need to pay any taxes outside after sales tax in US.

In europe all EU countries have default VAT and maybe some import tax. But I doubt it is 25%. Capital gain tax is again 25% (if you earn from stocks or business)
