Player 654, 10 Sep 2024The price in Europe is absurdly high.true, but in the eu (if i'm not mistaken) you're not allowed to show the selling price without including tax, unlike in murica, theirs might look cheaper but they don't include import and sales tax, which will make it go over 900$ easily if not over a grand for the vanilla model.

The same design since iPhone 11. It has been almost 6 years. Apple's design team seems to be jobless. Zero innovation on the design front. I wish if Steve Jobs was alive the world could have seen some brilliant innovations.

price wouldwide, 10 Sep 2024I wish one day the prices will be the same world wide!That's not possible with countries having different import taxes/tariffs. Usually, the taxes/tariffs do not make sense other than a source of government revenue and/or protectionism.

Yes the prices across the board are insane, but that's how it works. Apple products are a status symbol like your 120.000€ Porsche, 5.000€ wrist watch or your 600€ purse. Apple products have to be price otherwise they would lose that "desirable factor". People want what they can't get. 1500€ for a iPhone pro Max: that's about minimum monthly wage in Germany. So a low income employee in Germany has to work 40-50h a week for a whole month to earn that money.
In developing and emerging countries with way lower wages it's even more insane where iPhones costs +2000 USD/Euro. Lower income people have to work several months to earn that amount of money. So it becomes unreachable for most people. Unreachable= desirable

And there are countries in Europe that the price is higher than those in Germany. Some countries have iPhone 16 128GB €989 in the official site. Which means almost $1100 haha what a rip off for a phone with 128GB and 60Hz screen, bruh...
For comparison, you can get a Galaxy S24 for 600, almost buy 2 for the price of the vanilla iPhone.
