Anonymous, 11 Sep 2024I am more surprised about how many Apple users blame the EU... moreSay WHAAAAAT?! (minions voice)
I'm Apple user and a very long long time Apple users but I didn't blame EU or Apple. In fact, I wanted no AI shit in my phone OS be it iOS or Android. Did I say Android? Yes, I use both iPhone and Android phone as my daily drive. But, lady luck on my side as my iPhone 11 won't have the AI shit. Can't say in the future though 🤦🏻♂️

So, everything about AI in the presentation last Monday (a big part), people in Europe can forget about it, can't use it as arguments to buy the new device.
So, what new things do you have to give us in Europe Apple vs last year model? 0.2" bigger screen, new ultrawide camera sensor, 3d audio, wifi7 and a new button? after 12 months it's the best you can do?...

It's crazy, yet entirely predictable, how fast people support big government and over-regulation when it concerns Apple.

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2024I am more surprised about how many Apple users blame the EU... moreHow did you get that this is written by real people and not bots? Apple regularly violates EU law and thus wants to punish Europeans and blame the EU for this

Anonymous, 11 Sep 2024Notice how only one of those "gatekeepers" is EU ... moreAll this Ai everything not being allowed in EU tells me there is something fundamentally wrong with it. Usually it's privacy related, which is why they don't allow it until it's fixed or adjusted to EU market where privacy is valued and isn't data hoarding being allowed to corporations by default.

atichko, 11 Sep 2024So, the EU bound versions will be the better ones :-D. No A... moreNotice how only one of those "gatekeepers" is EU based (Booking). Over regulation in the EU stifles creation and tech companies. This is why you'll never find the next Microsoft, Apple or Google there.

I am more surprised about how many Apple users blame the EU for this, but not Apple.
CoPilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, Samsung AI and many more work in EU.
This is Apple their own choice to not bring it to the EU (yet?).
Which is funny, Apple AI uses their own servers, but if a certain task or question goes beyond it's capabilities, it uses ChatGPT or Google.
And even that is blocked in EU on Apple devices, unless using a 3rd party app but that goes beyond the point.
As for the AI itself, didn't try it but I know someone from the US (I am from the EU) that has access to it, and in short Apple AI works just as good or bad as other AI solutions.
With the difference that the integration into Apple ecosystem goes far beyond what Google (on Pixel), Samsung or Microsoft achieved.
That's it.

So, the EU bound versions will be the better ones :-D. No Apple "idiocy" euhhh, I mean "intelligence". I saw somewhere that the EU versions would be the best iPhones and it seems to be true :-D.
