Impact can be positive or negative, but I guess impact in this case means a negative effect. This is debatable, though. For example, I don't like ugly cutouts on Apple phones. However, other consumers may not mind them, so in their opinion, the cutouts don't negatively affect them. The thing is, people who don't like the cutouts don't have to buy Apple phones. So as I said, as long as you don't trick your customers, it's fine. It'll be a problem if, for example, Apple lies that its phones don't have cutouts in an attempt to sell its phones to consumers who don't like the cutouts.

There is no avoiding to tax. There's also a sales tax which is collected from the retailer on its turnover

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2024I don't see how wanting to sell as much as possible is... moreExactly. It's a thin line between selling as much as possible and selling at any cost (with impact for the customer). Can you see this line? Indeed, nothing wrong until it's wrong. This resembles a Star Wars discussion about the Force and the Dark Side...same thin line. And be sure that there isn't any brand that hasn't already crossed that line once, twice or multiple times for the sake of the revenue figures.

Local retailers have been looting us for years before e-commerce came in. Most of them are arrogant and don't give good buyback value. I used to pay Rs.600-700 for a screen protector for Sony Ericsson or Nokia phones. 😑

Annoying small retailer continuously whining about their bottom line. Everything is online now, get it together and get on board or get lost. They want people to line up in front of their store like the "good 'ole days". That time has passed. An exclusive deal during a launch event in an online retailer is beneficial to the customer. basically phone makers sell their products to consumers but some scalper(retailers) complained and shout "hey that's not fair" 🤑
