Region which has demand get things at higher price. If you think prices are high stop purchasing, companies will reduce price. In sppite of less price of netflix Indians are not very interested in netflix. So Netflix have to reduce their price. amazon prime cost 3$ month and very limited movies. In US 15$ and huge library. So its all about demand, do not blame any other thing.
India has 10Mln iphone user, US has 1.5 Bln user. While population is 5 times. So if you are gifted premium services country, you will pay premium for everything. Consider Syris even does not have Netflix, Amazon Prime. Hope you understood. Enjoy your good luck, better infrastructure, pleasant weather and progressive city.

The reason phones are expensive in Europe is because they... more99% of all phones are manufactured in Asia because of lower production costs (factory, wages, tax...). You'll hardly find anyone producing smartphones in Europe. And shipping costs from Asia to Europe are just laughable, since thousands of phones fit into one single shipping container. Just google the prices for one container, it's about 3000-5000€ from China to Germany.
Vat, import taxes and fees drive the retail prices higher, but even after you add those costs the Moto Edge is still about 150€ cheaper in India.
It is like I said: some regions pay more to compensate the lower pricing in developing and emerging countries.
Take app prices as an example: netflix,crunchy roll, YouTube premium...are cheaper in those countries.
Other example: as a student I had to buy a book for computer engineering class which was about 70€ here. Ordered it from India with shipping for less than 25€.

Why no 12GB RAM model in India yet ? The 12GB RAM version has UFS 3.1 storage, way better than the UFS 2.2 in the 8GB RAM model. Bringing the 12GB RAM to India would totally make up for the mid-range chip in the Moto Edge 50 Neo. 🚀📱 #TechTalk #MotoEdge50Neo #UpgradeNeeded

Battery drain is a issue with updates & Performance Issues as well. So I don't think there's anything good to expect for anyone who buys it for long term. For 1 year it's good. Also Moto isn't good with providing timely updates as well. So the question remains who is going to use it for 5 Years ??

LoL is 6.4 inch screen is in Compact phones Catagories? (Every YouTube praising the Phone for bieng compact). What about software update policy , 5+5 and phones are getting green lines and hardwares after updates, recently new update of Nord Ce4 which is having Capable 7gen 3, is now making antutu score of 0.6 million (initial score during launch was 0.8 million) now some heavy users feelings gittery experience.
And what about motorola's neo 50 battery , 4300 mah for a 5G phone, let see how's motorola optimizations for the battery.

They also pay more than India.
Iphones are assembled mostly in China, part in India.
They cost more than price asked in USA/ Canada/ EU.

Tax... morePrices of moto phones might go down quickly in other regions and because of that they might be priced initially high, BUT in India which is a highly highly competitive market, a brand has to price their phones with minimum profits to be able to sell and achive their target revenues.
Also, in developed countries, the costs usually go up

The reason phones are expensive in Europe is because they're manufactured in Asia which is relatively cheaper region to make things and sell while in developed regions, the costs of selling increase a lot because of high wages to be paid to everyone
Their business is run by profits and revenues and not personal bias. And most definitely, you are not paying for them like you think you are : )
