iPhone 16 Pro sales are below expectations, analyst claims

I am one of those that really wanted to upgrade from 13 Pro(I pass it on to parents, which is an additional motivation). 16 Pro is essentially the same phone, with very tiny improvements and all these "Apple Intelligence" features don't actually bring anything meaningful.
Spending 1200 Euros for essentially the same thing you already have cannot be reasoned.

    I bet all iPhone 16 sales are. US has entered recession, EU has already been in one for 6 months. Prices are high, wages are low and iPhone 16 is a meh upgrade.

Given Apple's reputation and being an American company, it would've been absolutely nothing out of the blue to find out that Apple influenced the ban of a Chinese company. Besides, it is very clear that trhere were many other motives that led to Huawei's ban, not the fact that they spy through their smartphones and steal data, which every company does, anyways.

        i pray to god that AI on phones fails to be a selling point so we can get actually decent hardware.

            Tim is a strategist, he's no visionary. His goal is to fill the pockets of shareholders with billions but he fails to understand that while it might work for some years, if there's no innovation, things will start to crumble. They've been drip feeding little changes instead of setting the pace like it was with Jobs. They've been holding out better screen, better cameras, better battery etc so they can milk people's money.
            Huawei was banned because Tim and the government saw it as a huge threat (and it was), huawei devices like the p20 and p30 pro were already better in several ways than iphones at the time.

              It is funny people like you and other here say H was accused without proof but also without proof blame the fruit for the ban, like they have any power over any gov.
              Same fruit that does everything demanded by the gov from where H is from.

So seeing their success (Huawei's) and rise in the industry, clearly presenting a threat towards Apple, Apple simply just said: "If you can't beat them, ban them."

                      Since Steve Jobs died, Apple has not presented anything that is truly innovative, as was the case with the launch of the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad. Since then, and very slowly, they have been declining because Apple is no longer capable of innovating something original as Steve Jobs did.

                      And that is despite the fact that the US government has invented sanctions against Huawei so that it does not take away market share and Apple is not left further behind in global sales of mobile devices.

                                        99% of iPhone owners have not seen the presentation and do not care or are not concerned about "Intelligence".

                                        The new phones are just meh in terms of really cool new features, much better camera or much higher performance. That's it.
