I'm not crying against competition.
Intel can't compete if they have "legacy cost".... I mean, bad fab while AMD, Qualcomm, etc have good fabs.
Intel getting rid of the fab is a good news.

It is an extremely poor testimony to the management when a business model is only ‘profitable’ if the state is required to subsidise it with taxpayers' money.
Intel has been asleep at the wheel for decades when it comes to the development of chip technology. Their chips are more like ovens than microprocessors.
Apart from self-aggrandising propaganda and self-promotion, they have achieved nothing in the last ten years.

DeepIn2U, 17 Sep 2024Where is your proof of this?
EUV is a patent already.
... moreThere's an article in South China Morning Post. The company who applied for the patent is Shanghai Micro Electronics Equipment.
IF it's true, and they developed a new type of EUV tech, than ASML can kiss goodbye to a lot of their market.

DeepIn2U, 17 Sep 2024Where is your proof of this?
EUV is a patent already.
... moreEUV is just the process of making them but how to do it eg. EUV Machines is where the tech is patented by ASML.
If Huawei have made their own EUV Machines, then ASML monopoly is finally over. We will finally have a competition in these market.
