Even with A78 core they could reach 700K+ in AnTuTu. So it would probably be that they would go with a single A710 performance core with 3x A78 performance support and the rest is either A55 or A57. Also the jump wouldn't be that big for the A36. Even the Exynos 1480 in the A55 couldn't go past 3GHz.

Damn, thats very impressive if they deliver, maybe it is because it sells a lot of units? Also these budget phones are becoming less and less shovelware and more actually usable devices now.

I highly doubt it will have an LCD screen as the A15 is Super AMOLED.

                      Samsung galaxy A16.

Galaxy A56 is definitely coming with the leaked Exynos 1580, which should be around the level of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 at least (Exynos 1480 comes close already). And A36 might come with the 1480 for all we know, or the newly announced SD 7s Gen 3 (or at least I hope). Both of those would be sufficient in terms of processing power. Only problem is if the A36 comes with UFS 2.2 or 3.1 (A55 currently comes with UFS 3.1, and it would be logical for it to go a tier lower in the next gen).

I have very little hope for the A26. Every A2x device for the past few years has been soundly disappointing. Only improvement might be an official IP rating, since we know the A16 now has one. But if it comes with an Exynos 1380 or SD 6 Gen 3, an IP rating, a punch hole for the front camera, and a display with more than 180 Hz PWM, it might actually be worth considering.

If this gets 6 years it probably means all the higher Galaxy A models get it as well. Galaxy A26, A36, A56. May be even more important for those because they have the processing power to be good after so long, and the 5000mAh should still last enough after that time as well. Maybe that’s the start of an era where even lower cost phones can be commonly used for 5 years and more.

I‘ve done this before with an LCD phone, and of course it was undamaged. LCD has its own advantages, it‘s not clear-cut to just say OLED is better. And for TV I‘d not even consider OLED anymore because those advantages (price, longevity) are much more exaggerated when an entire TV is €500 vs €1200 for the cheapest 65“ models and maybe 5-7 years for OLED vs easily more than 10 (if direct lit and not used at full brightness) for LCD.
