Because back then Huawei had a 90 hz display on the Mate X2 and they last had a 90 hz flagship in the form of the mate 40 pro in 2020.

The hardware is surprisingly refined all around. Still, I wouldn't personally jump on a first gen product especially at this price. But if amazing is what you are after it currently doesn't get more amazing in the smartphone realm.

                  Ok, GSM Arena, on the scale of amazing how amazing this phone is?

                    i just can't get over how beautiful the color is, zamn, i love this. it's a shame that the display is "only" 90 hz but hey, first gen product so yeah.

                    Im more curious about the battery, how good is it gonna be? gsmarena has gotta do 3 tests on each of the screen states to give us an accurate idea, a lot of work yeah but it'll be worth it imo. saw a video by a chinese reviewer that showed battery life that is similar to/slightly better than the Mate X5. Not bad.

                          For the tech we already have and for this ammount of money this phone feels like a joke

                            Looks stupid this design although back looks nice I really don't like foldables
