Anonymous, 28 Sep 2024"However, you get the same 6.7-inch 60Hz panel for yet... moreAnd how is that not a scam? They know their "pros" are shit... most people would be better off with base 16 models.. but it having 60hz in 2024 is just disgusting.

iDroid, 29 Sep 2024man you really are stupid. do you think the phone only has ... moreDo you really think thats how much it costs them to make it? They make it for 300 max. And sell it for 1000 dollars. ITS A LEGAL STEAL..
Even 250 dollar phones have 120hz screens. You are delusional. Dont even try to protect them.
We all know why there is no 120hz screen on the base 16.. because their 16 pro phones would not sell shit.. if it was 120hz the base 16 would be the best buy of all the iphones.. just like macbook air m1 was in its time.

Snapdragon 695 hater, 28 Sep 2024You've definitely got a point. If all a customer knows... moreI personally saw a bigger difference between 60 and 120 on iPad than on phones, but I acknowledge this differs between people

Anonymous, 28 Sep 2024Stop defending about the 60Hz, you're repeating about ... morePeople like you will never understand because they are incapable of learning. 300ppi is still the threshold for sharp phone displays at normal distance for RGB subpixel matrix. Phone AMOLED uses diamond (for example, PenTile) matrix. The 458ppi on modern iPhones has a subpixel resolution for red and blue that is very similar to the 326ppi of Retina LCD phone screens. If you go back look at my comments, I never defended selling a phone with a 60Hz screen at that price (I only made fun of the comments once because they seemingly can’t focus on anything else and think the entire phone is bad even though the rest of the phone is ok). But almost all here can’t see the silver lining and only like to hate

AcidReflux, 27 Sep 2024My theory is that they are unable to keep a big battery on ... moreBatteries are pretty much the same between regular and Pro (regular is usually slightly bigger even). Pros are thicker because they have to fit bigger cameras (one extra lens, bigger sensors) and the same size batteries into almost the same footprint. I previously thought as well they could just remove the base models but the base models are now much lighter, and with the rumored iPhone Air, the difference will only get bigger. When ProMotion reaches the base models I‘d buy those instead because I care about phone weight more than better cameras (and titanium is still heavier too than titanium).

Lister, 27 Sep 2024No coping, I don't own one, and wouldn't buy one.... moreYou've definitely got a point. If all a customer knows is 60hz then that's all they know so if an Apple customer upgrades they're going to think the screen is good because its still at 60hz.
The first time I tried 90hz was on a moto g30 and it did make a big difference. Now I've got a Moto G82 and its 120hz and I can't go back. On PC I'm fine with 60hz, but on phones the higher the refresh rate the better.
I think the reason for this is because phones have more animations and our behavior is different like scrolling and reading. It does make a big difference.

So they really thought the Capture Button is not tempting enough to upselling people to the Pros and Pro Maxes compared to 120Hz, so they decided to paint the lineup with this button and only 120Hz for the Pro. Apple Intelligence also boring. Another L year for Apple. Guess mainstream people looking for the 16 may now buying the 15 with their pillow always cold on both side as they know they saved $100 for the same phone with more beautiful design.

Stop defending about the 60Hz, you're repeating about the iPhone XR's low resolution mumbo jumbo.
4K 144hz OLED vs 480p 24hz tube backlit.
Same price at $149, you know which one's better.
