Because competition is harmful and a waste of time
Lets hope snapdragon is a monopoly so they can charger sky high prices for their chipsets!

This benchmark beats snapdragons last gen performance
But this guy in his hatred says mediatek is still one generation behind

Whats the need?,when there's no top notch games to take advantage of the power of the soc,we saw how alien isolation ran, very optimize assassin creed mirage if it was to be on SD or mediatek would have been better,we need pc level games ,not just counting numbers and cores

Anonymous, 18 hours agoNothing new... Mediatek is always at least one generation b... moreYou can keep that statement to yourself, MediaTek hater. The D9300 was MediaTek's riskiest attempt at a flagship because it used 4 Cortex X4s & 4 Cortex A720s, and it paid off pretty well

I Just Read, 15 hours agoYour statement is absolutely correct! X925...
To digres, i... moreNot quite that simple. Every core has it's optimal performance/efficiency curve and for X925 which is not simply X4 successor all do fundamentally the same 10 wide OoO it's more than refined with 2x more SIMD (ARM NEON) and 25% higher IPC and even more with bus packing (micro OPS), scheduler & TBA improvements, up to 2x more L2 cache and 2x higher output interconnect link. For the first time it's a more scalable and less bruth force high performance core. I don't support nor agre with MTK typology choice nor mixing them with X4 one's. I would go with 2x X925, 8x A725 turned optimal for sustainable output and two or four A520 on latest core coherent mesh from ARM (up to 15 core's and 32 MB L3 cache). MTK is far north from going for optimal performance tuning as always.

Anandteac is officially dead now.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2024I don't think those Oryon cores or whatever Qualcomm c... moreNeither is Oryon big cores nor Big cores in Dimensity 9400 are important, they are just there to flex Benchmarks and will imeaditely throttle when you launch anything. D9300 and 8 gen 3 were more efficient because of Cortex A720, those cores were workhorse of Cpu.
So for 8 gen 4 and D9400 to be better or worse cpu it depend with their Efficient cores, if Phoenix M is better than cortex A725 then 8 gen 4 will be better, if A725 is better then D9400 will shine.

VicsanIdiot, 26 Sep 2024isnt it an x925 at the helm, not an x5?Your statement is absolutely correct! X925...
To digres, in a similar story Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra benchmarked with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 announcement using Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 BEFORE the Qualcomm Annual Summit
October 24th-26th 2024
It appears that Digital Chat Station has become aware of this date and has now revised it the launch date to fit in https://www.gsmarena.com/oppo_find_x8_and_find_x8_pro_earliest_announcement_date_revealed-news-64610.php
The architecture and benchmark are RUMOURED, they are not however a true record of any score run using the actual phone it relates to. This is the same Modus Operandi used time and time again, (was I six once?)
ALL manufacturers can run benchmarks in PRIVATE. Add to that BEFORE Qualcomm summit an employee says "ooh I've got to check this Antutu / Geekbench 6 score publicly" and it then published by a leakster story originator. In many cases despite anything the benchmark results are always incomplete from what would be fully reported if REAL
MediaTek Dimensity 9300 was announced on November 6, 2023. AFTER QUALCOMM
Architecture
1x 3.25 GHz – Cortex-X4
3x 2.85 GHz – Cortex-X4
4x 2 GHz – Cortex-A720
NOW if this story were real (this article would have a November 2024 date), The source claims THREE cortices will be used o.k? (Not o.k)
X5 performance NEW, three@ X4 OLD four @ A720 efficiency OLD
Watt? Typo Wait ... What
A Layman's wild guess
X5 performance
THREE underclocked X5
FOUR (missing) efficiency A730
The Dimensity 9300 uses the latest cortices.
Qualifier
That is also assuming the 1+3+4 plucked out of the air (essentially reverting back to the Dimensity 9200) is also correct. Surely if 3nm or 4nm would be known also.
Despite being RUMOURED this Architecture I can confirm is real .. REAL WRONG.
It only came into existence when posted on X
There are so many inconsistencies which in November won't have an iota of truth
Your statement is absolutely correct! X925...
To put forward another more credible and more reliable source is debating competing rumours and raises / elevates DCS.
In November 2024 after Mediatek published there won't be an explanation as to why that information differs (multiple Cut & Paste errors)

Also antutu is rubbish. You don't see antutu shutting phones down like you do other benches and it favours android in tests which is why they say android and apple scores are not comparable so stop comparing them. Android devices need more power to run them and are more resource intensive hence 8gb ram not being enough on android anymore while iphones can give equally good performance with less ram and a smaller battery.

CamoGeko-XDA, 27 Sep 2024Mediatek is on fire right now! Hopefully not literally. 😂Well if mediatek is on fire then snapdragon is scorching as its better. Keep your mediatrash.
