    People just don't want to admit Mediatek is making powerful chipsets, and now is a serious competitor to Qualcomm, Samsung and Google. Same thing was with AMD when Ryzen was unveiled. Took a long time for a lot of people to admit AMD was making better chips than Intel. The more competition, the better.

          "This chipset is inferior"

          If news is that they are focusing on efficiency

          "Chipset isn't powerful enough"
