Nythan, 20 hours agoAndroid 15 not yet received for my Pixel 7A, and this news ... moreI've got 15 (beta) on both my old 6 Pro and current 9 pro XL. No complaints with stability on either. Heck the 6 Pro is better than when it launched... it remembers BT devices and doesn't just decide to delete them.

No reason that Pixel 7a can't handle it and remain stable.

See what happened to Poco X5 Pro users that already all two promised OS updates (A13 ->A14, A15) and are now wondering why they're not getting Android 15.

There are so minute differences between versions since Android 12 that I don't understand why Google couldn't just start updating Android silently like what they did with Chrome. No point in announceing new versions each year when the only thing they highlighted was some new color shcemes.

My Galaxy Tab S7+ is still on Android 11. I didn't update ever since. It runs fast and smoothly. I think if I did an update, it would no longer run at such a speed.

For Real? Android 15 is not out then theres 16? so what are the new Features that cant release in 15?

Product Sans is less readable than popular alternatives. If you put Comic Sans and the Android font side-by-side, and then aligned and straightened Comic Sans, you get essential the same font. The only major differences between these are: 1, I, J, a, and e. (Even "e" is the same if you consider the Google logo.) The "a" doesn't flow as it does in Helvetica, where it's like a reverse "s" with a tail, gently changing thickness between vertical and horizontal strokes. Android takes a big, dumb bingo marker of a font and scrapes it haphazardly across your screen.

Multiple app developers have wasted their time conforming to the new theming standards just to end up with a worse looking (and often less usable) app. I dare Google to poll indie developers who rethemed their projects and users of their apps.

Material You is a boring, over-designed, unattractive failure.

If Android is looking for a major refresh idea? Allow users to choose the radius of UI elements—or, more generally, a slider for "Silliness".

Let's get something straight: The notion that we need to copy nature is flawed. Did wheels evolve as part of nature? No! But they're the most efficient method of travel. Beyond that, sharp corners exist in nature! …when rocks split apart? sharp edges and corners. I don't recall ever getting softly stabbed by the gentle curve of a rosebush's thorns. The color of the blood that follows? …NOT pastel!

What sharp corners do provide is the visual illusion of efficiency when padded (as well as indicating the true interactive boundary of a UI element) and actual visual efficiency when the radius padding is removed. The current trend doesn't LOOK useful but also ISN'T useful.

The idea that big bubbly buttons improve speed and accuracy of taps via Fitts's law is hogwash. If Material You were remotely efficient, I would be able to quickly select 40 messages in the Gmail app for deletion.

As for silliness… Why does my audio progress bar need to squiggle while playing music? Why am I forced to have pastel tones for the UI? Bubbles (like inline translate) are forced to stay on screen while inactive unlike Android 9 and earlier, where they were incredibly useful because they only appeared when needed! The clock/stopwatch/timer doesn't need to be a "modern" ring like some gradually setting coffee cup stain. For Christ's sake, the theming standard resulted in the Authenticator icon looking like a clown cat's butthole.

Yes, lets just roll out a main version every 3 months and your pretty cool device with 4 main version support will easily last no more than a year

                                        Nice trick google
