Google may be prepping a similar move to what it did with the Pixel launch this year.

Yes, lets just roll out a main version every 3 months and your pretty cool device with 4 main version support will easily last no more than a year

    Google must want to compare the version number of Android with that of IOS. Remember Pixel 8/9 users, Google said your phones will get up to 7 OS updates, not 7 years of OS updates.

            Oh yes. Add two useless features and increase the serial number. All part of planned obsolescence. I think Android 7 and Android 10 were the only updates that deserved increased serial no.

              What's the major difference between Android 12/13 and 14/15? In the last couple of years they had not added any new features to the OS and only doing minor visual changes just to increase the version number.

                        Android 15 is not even out, and they're already rushing for Android 16. If that's the case, they should've renamed Android 15 to Android 14.5.

                            This is a good move. People washes out pixel at first launch, because of unstable new android version. My 8 pro was straight up bad at first, I was thinking to sell this and get a galaxy but right after two months, they fixed everything (kinda)
