Probably the most outdated screen on a smart device...... horrible screen on those vanillla iPhones.....

"but the iPhone SE (2025) will be the first affordable Apple phone with 5G connectivity, thanks to the new chip."

Oh, here we go again... iPhone SE (2022 or 3rd Gen) was equipped with Apple A15 Bionic chipset, the same chipset that powered my iPhone 13 Pro Max (albeit lesser GPU core compared to all-in on my 13 PM, 4-core in SE'22 vs 5-core in 13 PM), and every Apple chipset since A14 Bionic/M1 of iPhone 12 series/iPad Pro 2021 have supported 5G connectivity, including iPhone SE 3rd Gen from 2022. If it were the iPhone SE (2020 or 2nd Gen) with an A13 Bionic chipset from the iPhone 11 series, that would be understandable. What is this should be implied in the first place?

I don't get why Apple just doesn't make the power button pressure sensitive and usable as fingerprint readers so that we can have both touch id and face id...

            iPhone SE 4 Rumors

Big reason for NO to this device

            Inferior display BOE
            Inferior garbage Modem Intel
            Less RAM 6 GB
            OLD Notch style
Hopefully no any Ultrawide band chip
            High 500$ pruce
Single 1x zoom camera like old iPhone SE1

Mykl.Pluto, 04 Oct 2024The price would be everything. i don't think it would ... moreThe initial MSRP doesn't matter because Apple (unlike Samsung & others) has a healthy refurbished market that keeps their phones getting sold over & over again at lower prices.

Look at the price of the refurbished iSE 2022 compared to it's original MSRP. What will the price of the refurbished iSE 2025 will be one or two years later down the road? It will be super competitive with Samsung's brand new offerings. (& A18 could still be more powerful than Exynos 1580, 1680, 1780...)

The biggest hold back for this device is the notch & lack of 120Hz. Everything else will continue to feel "okay" two years from now.

Anonymous, 04 Oct 2024I bet there is still some here demanding it to be based on ... moreI would love that. (but it could cannibalize the iPhone 17 Slim. So probably no...)

So i guess this is why Google made their Pixel 9a launch earlier in march along side iPhone SE 2025. (as well as Galaxy A5x & A3x)

Samsung & Google will have an ultrawide, but Samsung doesn't offer wireless charging nor a full IP68 midrange phone. (Samsung is at IP67)

Exynos 1580 is reportedly around the performance of Snapdragon 888. But that's nowhere as good as A18. Tensor G4 is bad when it comes to battery life. Apple will of course skip the 120 Hz but it looks like that won't be a deal breaker. PPI Density is also better than the competition at 460. the 3nm process of the A18 combined with the 60Hz screen could make for some good battery life.

iPhone SE 2025 is not a joke.

I bet there is still some here demanding it to be based on 13 mini.
                    🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The price would be everything. i don't think it would be less that $600 though

Nikojas, 04 Oct 2024And 8GB RAM for Apple intelligence maybe?8GB RAM is the minimum requirements for AI to run on device without needing to connect to internet. Hence why all iPhone 16 series comes with 8GB RAM

No, SE 2022 had that already. Lazy article

The current base SE 64GB starts at €549 in Europe and the 128GB at €619. I bet they'll ditch the 64GB version and start at 128GB. So the entry price will probably be something around €699 or €749 which is way too much comparing with the Android competition. At those prices you can already access some flagships...

Modeey, 04 Oct 2024Apple is stingy with the ram so 6 gigsImo it will be 8GB, courtesy of the A18. Plus Apple would want Apple Intelligence to be available in more devices, so they can maximize the potential revenue when they switched the feature into a paid subscription.

[deleted post]Intel modem doesn't exist anymore. And the SE4 will get 8GB of RAM.

Apple put their top-of-the-line SOC in their entry-level phone, not like Samsung who still put Exyshit in their flagships for Europeans.

It's not like there is a need to have 5G in a phone as the 4G speeds are more then anyone ever need on a phone and the connection speed will anyways depend on the distance from the antennae that spreads the connection while also the amount of users it has connected to.

Never mind that the modems in the phone are different too so some 5G modems just give you slower speed too. I have seen some test it with different phones.

I am still running my phone on 4G even tough i can have 5G but i dont see a point to pay 2 times the monthly pay to just have it on 5G

Also now older iPhones are not that much worth it when the SE is based from iPhone 14 as it wont be even more compact then the SE use to be. They should of made the SE from their mini series to make sense
