Yeah...
Publicity.., made in lab, with 10.000 euro PC. In real life, i don't think it will do 10 % of that speed!

Of course games will evolve too to be optimised for such speeds.
The quality of a game will grow up with components one can use.
Remember good old games on Amiga, Commodore 64, ZX Sinclair, Atari or even something much older like Vega from early 70s??? Games that had 256 colors or 16 bvefore or even monochrome games with just white black and maybe few shades of gray?
Games evolved and computers too this will be the same.

Soon or later even something like a MetaQuest will be able to use this to be even better.

Even the 1TB versions.

                              1. Improved Productivity in Professional Workflows: PCIe 5.0 SSDs deliver ultra-fast read and write speeds, which are crucial for professionals in video editing, 3D rendering, and other content creation tasks where large files need to be processed quickly. This helps reduce waiting times during tasks like file transfers and media exports.

                              2. Better Performance in Data-Intensive Applications: High-performance PCIe 5.0 SSDs are ideal for data-heavy applications like scientific computing, AI workloads, or machine learning, where the ability to access large datasets quickly is critical.

                              3. Enterprise and Server Performance: In data centers and cloud computing environments, PCIe 5.0 SSDs enhance server performance by enabling faster data access and processing speeds, which are essential for high-traffic applications, large-scale database management, and online services.

                              4. Future-Proofing: As technology advances, having a PCIe 5.0 SSD ensures compatibility with future platforms and applications that will leverage the extra bandwidth. It’s a way to "future-proof" systems for upcoming software that requires higher speeds and greater storage throughput.

Fine, make 14 GB/s for fanatics and enterprise, but why not an x1 lane drive for a common laptop user, which would hit 3.5 GB/s without breaking a sweat?

I would think that the majority of SSD market is for the slower speed.
