pl2rts, 04 Oct 2024I dont get the point of these as software mostly dont need ... more300 mb = megaBITS!
300 MB = MegaBytes, 8 bits = 1 Byte.

Please KNOW the difference between mb vs MB ! You look foolish with your above statement.

FYI I'm not trying to sound like aged elder, this is an international mathematical representation standard mb (lowercase referring to bits) MB etc.

Finally without problem of 970 and lower sdd

I dont get the point of these as software mostly dont need these fast speeds and can run from HDD no problems. These M.2 SSD are more expensive then the HDD connection SSD too so there is like 1% of market who use them and it's mostly only for gaming but even there you wont win anything in the games as even these 300mb read and write be enough for games and faster read dont make the games better as modern games mostly are trash with trash optimization anyways plus shet load of bugs and glitches cause of DEI hire for DEI content by the people who dont care about the games or understand how the games need to work

With the crappiest lifespan and minimal cooling.

Snapdragon 695 hater, 04 Oct 2024Speed is one thing but how hot are these going to get? I re... moreThat has always been resolved, hasn't it? At least by the honest brands, telling what kind of cooling is required for them. It is quite obvious you'll need active cooling on a 14GB/s storage, as you need active cooling on the chipset maxing out at those speeds.

On paper, it looks faster than the T705.
However, I will wait for the tech gods to check and verify the numbers before making the purchase.
(By tech gods, I mean the likes of Gamer Nexus, Hardware Unbox, LTT, Paul's Hardware, etc.)

The other concern is the cost.
How much will it hurt my wallet?

Speed is one thing but how hot are these going to get? I remember the last time I checked PCIe 5.0 SSDs had a lot of heating and throttling issues. Has this been resolved?
