It's been a huge imbalance the last few years and it sounds like people are just finally starting to wake up. Hopefully.
What's so amazing about their manipulation ? It's not even setting an example for others to try to copy, only another big corp could try. And thats no good for consumers either. ..

Absolutely never call it a capacitive fingerprint sensor button. I wonder if they'll ever let users activate the fingerprint sensing functionality of it, like it works on my Z Flip?

At least I can stop seeing the ads "Apple Iphone 16 created with AI in mind"
When they dont even have AI on the devices yet and some markets wont get it till waayyy later.
Apple can just lie and get away with it. Crazy world but when you have an Apple logo the sheeps will believe anything

But then again, it never has been a real physical button in the first place, unlike the one on Sony phones. This is, literally, a software-driven gesture button.

Don't call it a button because it's a button!
Apple doesn't want you to know they've removed the button to ask you more money so that later they re-added the button to ask even more money!

Say what you want but Apple is Brilliant in marketing, they work as perfect example of any company that wait patiently, watch their user group closely and no matter of what they sell, they always advertise it as premium and luxury, even if its simple and cheap thing.
Just look at that button or AI, they probably spend less than 100K on R&D of that button, and spend probably nothing on AI, they just patiently waited to other companies do work and real world test, see what stick and what not, implement most basic elements of that so average low IQ person will understand it and advertise it as new, exciting and innovative! Price it high to give feel of premium... DONE!
And people buy it! Its sad and amazing at the same time...

Don't call it a button...because they don't want to hahaha because it's a button alright. Apple as a way of giving the impression they do things differently so consumers see it as special. That was true in the past with Steve but those were the days...not anymore.
Conclusion: it's a gimmick because they had the pressure to show something new. Everything the person did on that ad, it can easily be done within the screen with normal controls just as easily (if not more) and fast.

I am so disappointed about the camera control. The placement of the button is so stupid and is hard to use. This is nothing but a Gimmick and it is pure trash.

Then again, this is the "little baby steps at... moreWhat upgrade, that kind of switching actually involves an extra Operating Software, heck I fell My Xbox Android & Laptop just has 1 OS since Asphalt Unite has arrived, integration is the game not fragmentation. AI is a better switch than complicated eletro mechanical switching as analog computer are no bankable.

This is the type of the feature that you want it in your phone but you will never use it, like the FM radio in my case, and 3.5mm port although I rarely use it.

I say Gimmick. Who's with me?Oh it’s a gimmick alright, and not a well thought out one either. Ironically, the only feature this button should have had is the one ‘that is coming later’ the ability to act as a dual stage focus/shutter button.
Apple really missed the mark on this one……

Instead, they could have designed a physical rotating crown that allows users to adjust settings like zoom, shutter speed, or brightness. That would offer a much more intuitive experience!
