Just stick to 4 nm... Besides, 8 Gen 3 levels of performance are more than enough, even for years to come.

Come on, you can do it Sammy :D

I can say from personal experience with a52s, a50,a55, s8 ultra and s9 here (being used at the same time around me at home) -> latest Samsung updates brought lots of changes in WiFi/intelligent wifi/advanced wifi section of settings. Those cause quite few issues with wlan connectivity and battery drain, but once disabled all is back to normal. My wife doesn't have battery drain on A55 , neither the rest of the devices.

So I'd suggest to stop spreading rumors, just because someone mentioned "it has to be the CPU".. Samsung has lot of software/bloatware, way too much to be overlooked and ignored in case of battery drain. Single bt tag unit around could cause it even

We need Samsung Foundry (and perhaps SMIC) to succeed so we can have a competitive chipset market.

And Samsung Foundry needs the Exynos 2500 to be a good chip, so Qualcomm will consider them to make SD8 chips in their 3nm node.

              BUT the production team.

They have been struggling for many Exynos chips already. Maybe these greedy Koreans should start outsourcing their chips instead of trying to make their own chips?

Sam N8 808 owner, 08 Oct 2024I'm not a fanboy of anything here, but one question:- ... more7 gen 1 use A710 cores, that's why it's below par, sd 4 gen 2, 480, 7s gen 2, 6 gen 1 etc all of them were made by Samsung and they do well.

Same to Exynos all modern ones like E1480, E2400, E1330 etc do well. Samsung has no issue with its 4nm yields already surpassed 75% and it's on par with Tsmc, even utilization rate reached 90% and foundries are almost full.

They have trouble with their new node, 3nm which E2500 was suppose to be made with.

True on profit and premium price.
But you can't sell bad product as good product.
                      It will ruin the brand.
Slowly but sure is the best way to build brand

I'm not a fanboy of anything here, but one question:-

If they can't get a midrange chipset (SD 7 Gen 1, made by Samsung, failed terribly in M55, F55, etc), how do you expect them to make such a high performance Exynos a success?

Already previous Exynos versions have performed a gen lower than their launch time. If they're stable, that is.

But since the Xperia 10 series commenced, it doesn't have the feature anymore, only leaving the outgoing vanilla flagship Xperia 5 series and continuing the upper flagship Xperia 1 series to have the camera button, plus the new iPhone 16 lineup. So, there is some truth in your statement about smartphones since 2019.
