Even though Huawei is Out of the Smartphone race in the World .
They are still a trend setter among Chinese Brands .
They came up with this idea and As the Leaks suggests .. all most all Chinese Brands will move to Microcurved displays in their Flagship Line up .

                      I'm not even aware of a technology that alow to manufacture displays with curvature on adjacent sides.
                      Even double foldable phones, fold over paralel hinges.

Just enough curv... morewell my friend has an Xiaomi 14 ultra its micro curved and you can use tempered glass protector they aint expensive and it doesnt peel away I do not like film protectors they dont feel nice and wont save screen if dropped , its the deep curved ones like Oneplus 12 that are a pain only proper glass screen protectors that work are the ones that use UV glue which are a pain to install and lift off over time also expensive

                            the micro curve is best of both, viewing screen is totally flat no glare on edge of screen the micro curve is the bezel so feels better when swiping across

                              I have a question for you, guys! Without any prejudice! Can you imagine using the phone without protection on top? Really! I always peel them off* when I take the phone out of the box, and even my 5 years old phones (I still have and sometimes use) don't have a scratch on the display. I basically didn't scratch a display in 23 years of using mobile phones. Never broke one!
                              * I don't like how they feel on the display, even the original ones

Just enough curve for a normal screen protector to peel off after a while, so you need a tempered glass one which is way more expensive. I don't even think the curve does anything for comfort, it's just used to make the phone look more premium, typically

                                    Anonymous, 11 hours agoWow, MediaTek is everywhere this year, as they should be.Not much difference from last year. The x100 series apart from the ultra and the x7 both used mediatek last year also. Just Vivo and OPPO added one extra model to their x series

                                      ua82, 12 hours agothe screen display is on the flat side, the curve is the be... moreI've seen lots of these screens on Huawei and Xiaomi phones. The better tempered glass protectors are still curved ones for the Xiaomi 14 ultra and aren't as easy to apply as flat ones. There is also a bit of discoloration at the top where the screen curves into the frame. Personally don't like the look of it. It wouldn't stop me buying one but if I had a choice of the same phone with a completely flat screen and one of these microcurved ones I'd without doubt pick the flat one. Each person has there own preferences though and I can perfectly understand that some people prefer these relatively new micro curved ones
