Happy x90pp user here.
I didn't go for x100 series as they were still using curved display.
I dropped my device from the pocket height ending the screen with a crack. Changing an entire display seemed ridiculous to me as only the top layer glass was cracked. None of the third party places wanted to deal as they were hesitating. They do it with flat displays easily. Installation with glass with OCA seemed complex and risky process. So I ended up using it like this and swore never ever buy fully curved glass.
Luckily the madness is ending. Took the companies years. If Samsung didn't start this I wonder if we'd still have. I won't ignore Xiaomi's success with introducing quad curved display. Definitely a gorgeous glass. Seems much better alternative to fully curved and repair seems to be easier. Seeing the glass not being exposed by the edges also gives security with longevity and durability.
Finally, this year I'll go for x200 series.
The only question is this: is it worth to wait for Ultra model? They use that great hp9 module that they used in x100u. Very good. But I also read about the additional module for ultra model meaning just like x90pp, x200u will come with 4 rear modules as well.
Knowing also that Vivo will release ultra model earlier, makes me hesitate more.
I'll just keep waiting for the reviews and feedbacks.

Finally sth differentiating from the rest of the flagship devices produced by every company in the industry.
The sad reality that it won't be as visible as in the case as most of the people want to secure their device.
I'm a happy x90pp user and I barely enjoyed that back panel design. I used transparent case as well but it gets yellowish in time so I sticked with the non transparent cases.

Looks are maybe 10% of the phone. It's not jewellery. How it performs, how it lasts, how it stays together, how it stands the test of time in use. That's the 90%. Let's see how the hardware and software stack up. Personally still waiting for the Ultra series in 2025, if it comes.

very glad they are all following to get away from curved screens, micro curved is a good inbetween and no more hassle for tempered glass protectors and no glare on the side of the screen

This micro curve can actually have a screen protector without much issue
It's a balanced approach I think even flat screen lovers can live with this easily

I've seen these displays on some of the newer Huawei phones. It has only the subtlest curve at the edges. It is the best of both worlds. It gives you slimmer bezels but no glaring light reflections on the sides.
