So OnePlus are downgrading the resolution from 1440p on the OnePlus 12 to only 1220p on the OnePlus 13?
And yet they're getting praise for it? Far too many people are seriously lacking a spine 🙄

Bigger the better but I think 5500 mah is more than enough for a phone to give 6 to 7 hours SOT and that is good for a full day use unless the person continuously plays games on it.

For all I know, decreasing the display resolution would make it actually worse, not better. Combined with being more and more expensive, Oneplus became less and less desirable over the years.

Aierlan, 10 Oct 2024This is basically the top level of domestic Chinese screen.... moreBOE is just amazing, all brands should use them.. none of these screen makers can provide LTPO panels for cheap.. maybe the reason why we can see mid range and flagship Realme, vivo, OnePlus gets good batteries, has LTPO and crazy high nits.

"The display will be gently curved on all sides, as is the latest trend among Chinese smartphone makers"

Anonymous, 10 Oct 2024Any info if motorola plans to use decent oled? Current on... moreNo. Unfortunately, there is very little information on Motorola phones. They are a very niche brand in China with extremely few offline stores and very little marketing so not many reviewers cover them. I looked it up in Chinese on Baidu and the only sources I could find said Huaxing Optoelectronics (TCL) and Tianma both supply the screens. The only info I could find for the Motorola edge 50 ultra said that Huaxing optoelectronics (TCL) was the screen supplier (but this is not a very official source). Lately, quite a lot of phones are using mixed screen suppliers. For example, visionox and BOE, or Visionox and TCL (Huaxing), or Tianma and TCL. Almost all of the Chinese brands are doing this in some of their phones. When they supply reviewers they usually purposively give them the ones with the better screens but as a consumer it's pot luck as to which one you get. The basic specifications are supposed to match but obviously the quality from different suppliers won't be exactly the same

This is basically the top level of domestic Chinese screen. It's supposedly very efficient to for a 2k screen

Yet another hole in the display I presume. Almost as if there was a solution developed for this several years ago.
Almost as if OnePlus themselves had a solution for this half a decade ago.

all the spec looks great, now if they give 6-7 years update, that would complete most of the requirement.
