The perpetrator of this exploit is usually none other than intelligence agencies.
Sometimes, they're also the ones who will tip Qualcomm to patch the vulnerabilities after they get what they need from their target, obviously. Some other time, however, they kept quiet about it and continued to exploit it.

I want to try the exploit zero day vulnerability on my damn realme phone.
Sadly realme don't allow me to root my phone so I am forced to use 0-day vulnerability exploit proof of concept (PoC) to temporarily root my phone...
Where to find the proof of concept source code of this CVE-2024 vulnerability?
I searched on github but there is nothing?! No PoC ? Where is PoC example code to trigger the privilege escalation on my phone?
On PC I can become administrator or root easily. Why I am not allowed to be root on my phone? I don't understand?! I paid money for both platforms. Just let me be root come on!

PureOS, 10 Oct 2024Poor Qualcomm! Mediatek is now 100% safer!!!Mediatek has had zero day exploits as well. There is no such thing as a "perfect" secure device.

PaxLucis, 11 Oct 2024That is why Apple's Bionic chip reigns supreme. The pr... moreAh yes because Apple didn't just have CVE-2024-23225 and CVE-2024-23296 few months ago. They also didn't definitely accidentally leak the fact that your deleted photos aren't really deleted but actually stored in their servers. Cope harder.

You can't fix issues that don't exist because in that case it means that there is nothing to fix. Having longer security support doesn't guarantee that your devices will never be hacked, but it'll make your devices less likely to be hacked than devices that no longer receive security fixes.

BrianCoriour, 10 Oct 2024845 is still fast for today.Using a Snapdragon 835 phone at the moment (Nokia 8) and it's still well-optimized compared to any mid-ranger on the market.
Even a Cortex-A53 phone is usable (but not smooth or fast) with good optimization.

Android, IOS not to mention Windows heck even Linux have had issues with vulnerabilities and exploits. Custom ROMs are based on the AOSP so its not totally safe either.
Same goes for hardware from Intel, AMD, QC, Mediatek ,Samsung, Hisilicon etc. There's always been vulnerabilities and always will be.
Sadly there's just no way to build a perfectly "hackproof" system, and the proof is the thriving multi million dollar industry built around finding vulnerabilities.
Dont let your fan-boism (of any brand) make you fooled into thinking your device is 100% safe.

I don't understand how people can be so ignorant in this day and age and especially here in the comments: every OS Has vulnerabilities. Be it Android, IOS or Windows .
And all hardware vendors have had issues too whether Mediatek, QC, AMD or Intel.
Like another commenter has suggested, just look up your "fav chipset or OS" + vulnerabilities and you will find pages of info.
Yes some vulnerabilities are more severe than others, but rejoicing that MTK or Apple is safe just shows ignorance and its quite amusing.
And so we need periodic updates so these vulnerabilities, whether hardware or software can be patched.
