security is like fresh product with best before date , SD865 has both old and new technology new SOC is pure 64bit which makes security easier, choose a phone with pure android and turn off functions and services you don't use, software should be verifiable that makes upstream open source only game in town

android is still a failure the crap can't be updated

SOMAYU, 10 Oct 2024I think the idea is, since the s22u is still officially sup... moremy point is, your phone's vulnerable right now. If you're an important person you could be hacked right now and no one can do anything about since they don't even know what devices are hacked.

So yeah, the issue will be fixed later, but right now you're as vulnerable as anyone else. Besides, these companies leech more info from you than you'd even dare imagine. So i don't really see these security issues as a plus point for switching to phones with longer term updates. If you're on a phone, you're NOT safe.

H, 11 Oct 2024Hackers will still be able to crack it Every hack or at least most of em usually destroy a part of the hardware they are hacking in to. So one way to solve the problem is making the machine 1 level up in reliability, example ADS has level denominations ex lvl4 autonomous cars won't require a physical steering, lvl3 still needs steer to be present as well as driver, we are currently at lvl2 however a higher lvl product would be able to alter the outcome in any intrusion.

That's hilarious. Security researchers who find these vulnerabilities usually give the company responsible an opportunity to address the problem before revealing it themselves publicly. Qualcomm had choice but to announce and address the vulnerability.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is down. Now let's wait for the 8 Gen 2 to appear on the same list. I guarantee there will be flaws in the next gen Qualcomm chip as well and so forth.

This is why I've always avoided phones with Qualcomm SoC, they have the worst security history out of all
