Now they don't want to do that and only want to focus on software as a selling point, which is super easy to maintain compared to hardware, and thus cheaper. As a result, they have low expenses and since the prices are the same, they have super high profits.

In short, it's all cus of high profits. Look at Samsung's recent profit data.

            This is disappointing. I switch between Apple Samsung pixel. Why can’t these 3 have 1 inch sensors? Samsung s20 ultra was great had the largest sensor in 2020, but same size since. So can anyone explain why? And not the usual rhetoric this or that sucks. Sony provides 1 inch sensors to 5 different phones with more coming next year, why can’t the above 3 have them? Supply chain issues? Or? Xai0mi gets new sony sensors every year. Why can’t Apple? And Samsung makes their own cameras, why on earth aren’t they making larger sensors? Also why is Dionysus the only phone with variable optical zoom? Patents? Or? Lg has a variable zoom but no one uses it. Any idea?

Being unable to use it? I think it goes the other way around, not everyone has big hands, but big hands can operate a smaller/narrower phone just as well. Unless your hand is as big as a wok 🤣
