Tara, 15 Oct 2024Sony and longevity should not be used in the same sentence,... moreThen talk to my Xperia Z5 which is now 9 years old, and I have used it too harsh and am still able to survive until now. My Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, which is the same age as my Xperia Z5 flagship, is no longer bootable.

By that time, I will be complaining about how Xperia... moreIt won't feel outdated at all because nowadays you can hardly tell differences between 4-5 generation of flagship chipsets unless run benchmarks and play games at highest settings. Even cameras don't really improve. Don't be surprised if they use same sensor on Xperia 1IX.

I say a new Xperia 1VI for £600 in 2026 is a great "flagship killer" to buy, much better than Poco, Pixel, Realme etc

As it is, Xperia 1 VI is nice, but it is outrageously overpriced against the competition (real street price, not MSRP).
