Those manufacturers are using windows are trying to save cost in hardware but still run faster than droid. Core i7 will run slower than atom if there are so many apps, add ons running at the same time

WP8 need 2 cores = Android need 8 cores
WP8 need 4 cores = Android need 16 cores..
So if WP8 has octa core.... Android need core i7 with heatsink?

Anonymous, 30 Jul 2013just a crying shame it's not rocking Jellybean to be honest .....You got the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom rocking with Jelly Bean, so is good to see options with the Lumia 1020, not the same mobile OS already everywhere like a virus.

GPUs have way more affect on games than CPUs. iPhone 4S and 5 are only dual core and run all the games very smooth because of powerful GPUs. This is pretty much the same for PC gaming too. I have used them all from PC, Android, iOS, WP8. Even overclocked CPU and GPU on PC and CPU on Android before, so I know what I am talking about.

Quad core on WP8 won't increase its smoothness. Dual core on WP8 are already lag free and smoother than Android. A better GPU could help to increase FPS.

Unfortunately there is a limit on technology and resources.
Nokia can concentrate on other components because of a good OS: make better camera/ make better design.
Android phone makers are so sad.. they have to put all their resources into cores and MORE cores and have a toaster as a phone.. and in the end still LAGS and have junk storage (16gb craps that cost as much as an iPHONE!!), and inter- fighting among themselves having bloody noses.

Nokia have a bright future with WP8. No competition, and a fast smooth optimized OS, so they can concentrate on making good camera for customer.
