      Transsion is what Xiaomi/Redmi was, while vivo/OPPO are what Huawei/Honor was

                EUcitizen, 1 hour agoI never thought I'd write this, but I'm thinking ... moreExcept not really, yes it has that brightness but not for long in situations where it matters and iphones have much worse sustained brightness just like samsung phones with oled and it'll get worse for them when other flagships get tandem oleds. And they aren't that far ahead in terms cpu mid cores and are behind in gpu. If one cares about ultrawide and zoom then iphones ain't for them and they are also known for using subpar lenses, cellular antennas and battery cells

                    I never thought I'd write this, but I'm thinking about buying an iPhone. Why? Just read a review of iPhone 16 Pro Max. Over +3h of active use score against Samsung and almost 6h against Xiaomi 14 Ultra ! It is the same with screen brightness and Performance benchmarks. Samsung is sleeping with their flagships, Xiaomi is dead ... their Ultra is even missing esim + I need to replace battery on my Mi9, but I cant as there is no official service for that. Other services will use a new battery from Temu which is ehm ... iPhone looks like balanced product, I will wait for S25 Ultra an 15 Ultra but I doubt they can match iPhone this year.

                        Apple have reached this level by doing great phones and great OS experience/ecosystem year after year and built huge loyal userbase and also gaining more and more Android switchers. In the end great products will always sell.

Samsung has the same problem as every Android manufacturer - too many models.
                          And quantity is only part of the problem because in reality only a few are good enough to stand the test of time and work without any problems for a long time.
                          For example, the Samsung A series very quickly starts to have animation stutters and long loading times after a year of its premiere, and Xiaomi releases over 30 devices a year, of which only flagship are worth it.
                          What I meant was that in the context of price, Apple has greater trust in the company

                            Samsung does exactly the same thing as Apple because it works just print a new bigger number on the packaging and it will sell anyway, but will you feel the difference in practice, I sincerely doubt it.
                            The only place where there is a big jump is between the iPhone 7 and 11, and Samsung between the S7 and S10 unless someone cares about optical zoom, then these models can be moved two up where it has been enlarged otherwise you won't notice the difference during use

I think people ... moreI suspect that in China you have the same problem of nostalgia for America as we do in Poland, hence so many people buy from this manufacturer by default because they associate it with prosperity even if another product is better.
                              Unfortunately, there is no solution to this

Take Vivo for example. Over 50% of Vivo's entire global sales come from the Mainland Chinese market. However, Trannsion doesn't sell at all in China. You'd probably need to compare markets for where they both operate to get a better picture

                                    It seems like Oppo and Vivo are fighting back against Transsion that's why Transsion is out of the top 5.

                                        The 18% market size from samsung is meaingless when their galaxy flagship
                                        FAIL to capture most of it .The 18% was flooded with entry and low midrange galaxy phone most of India people will buy it.
