while in gsm arena's testing s24U's photos generally look better, there are slight differences between the two pictures taken by the two phones in every scenario. maybe if these slight differences were accounted for/ eliminated, the results would be different!
gsm arena's comparison is somewhat feeling based like "hey we like the color of this photo more even though the other one's colors were more accurate". there is little to no effort to make things comparable in a structured and somewhat scientific way.
exactly the opposite of DXO mark. in their scoring/comparison things are A LOT more structured and evidence based. just go and see s24 ultra's scoring for example(or any other phone, idc) the difference betweens the gsm arena and dxo mark reviews is night and day. so many different scenarios that each highlight a camera's weakness or strength, so much attention to detail, all the structured and organized data and so on. thus in my opinion dxo mark's results hold weight

Of course there always will be better cameras, maybe faster CPU on newer models, but an S Ultra phone will please your requirements for years.

I couldnt resist, after 10 years I am leaving Xiaomi (14 Ultra with poor battery life, no esim, just 4-5 years of software support?).

1. DXOMark isn't reliable.
2. Cameras are mostly subjective.
3. Don't listen to youtubers.
4. The S24 Ultra is cheaper.
5. The S25 series is coming pretty soon

I would prefer 8-bit over 10-bit that actually is 8-bit + FRC which is inferior. Viewing distance has nothing to do with bit depth that has everything to do with pixel density where S24U is among the best with 505 PPi.
