rRadD, 10 Nov 2024Let's talk if you have a tool like DXOMARK uses to ran... morethose guys are biased and paid for. just look at their list, they don't even have the vivo x100 ultra on it, and that's one of the best camera phones this year according to other sources including this site. yet there isn't in their top 20, even though when you look at their review it says they ranked it 17th but on the ranking page the xiaomi 14 ultra is 17th... also why is the xiaomi 14 ultra just 17th? are you serious, that's another one of the top camera phones of this year... and first is the huawei pura 70 ultra? I mean it's got a good main camera but that's about it, the other 1 inch camera phones beat it. Speaking of which the first one of the top 3 one inch camera phones is neck and neck with the iphones at 4th place? and it's objectively the worst out of the 3 the oppo find x7 ultra... if the rankings don't seems sketchy enought you know what else gives it away not to trust them? their website as a whole, it's just so... corporate, it looks like it's been made by a 3rd party software dev team with how nice it looks, and they also have a big *B2B* button on the top bar... yeah, they're a bussiness alright.

Plus their verdict is more about the technical aspects and sensor capabilities. Both phones are close competitors, but Samsung looks better to me. I trust my eyes and image compare tool. It tells me enough to have my own opinion. Don't trust blindly what others say to you. This and other sites gives you oppurtunity to check by yourself what is what.

Walls and details look smutty from iphone. Iphone lenses flare A LOT. Iphone also too much pulls shadows. In other words HDR is way too excessive. And you can't reduce it, unlike in Samsung. I wouldn't recomend iphone for someone who's looking for a phone for photography.

Samsung S series launch month is usually in Feb (if I'm not mistaken).. while iPhones launch day is in September.. The same year though... but if we're going to look at the track record:
S23 series VS 14 series, and
s23 series VS 15 series..
S24 series VS 15 series, then
S24 VS 16 series...
Yet, once the s25 series are released, reviewers will have another comparison review.. this time it's s25 series VS 16 series.. and it goes on. LOL
but yep, end of day, it will still be our preference that will matter... we all have our own bias...

Lol. I watched several comparison reviews on YT (specially by mrwhosetheboss) between 16ProMax and S24 Ultra... iPhone is winning specially in the camera department. I think this is more on personal preference. GSMArena is for Samsung. Other reviewers are for iPhone I guess... Besides, EU won't be getting apple AI any sooner.. I admit, I'm biased.. I'll go with iPhone anytime of the day.. I'd rather use Xiaomi or Honor than Samsung if I have to switch to Android... I don't know... I don't like Samsung, they're trying hard... if you hate this comment because of that, then it's not my problem anymore.. We all have our own favorites. LOL

S23 ultra user here.
Iphone shines with consistency.
And I mean it.
A close friend is 15 pro use.
Don't take much videos, so won't comment.
But iphone takes picture of similar quality almost more than 95 % of the time. So you can predict the result.
But S23 ultra takes similar quality [almost of iPhone 15 pro] pictures around 80 % of time, 10 % times they are much better than iPhone. And 10 % of the time, they are literally rubbish.
Long term Samsung user, tried 13 pro max for a year, then left. Could not get used to it.
