    Not only are most of the handsets in the latest Motorola Edge 50 lineup getting 5 years of major OS updates, but they won't be wainting too long for those.

    Are you sure? I'm almost convinced 5 years of major OS updates belongs only to the Edge 50 Neo from the Edge 50 lineup.

                        I am from neighbouring country from Slovakia from captol city of Bratislava and yes we had good internet since like 1998-2000 now i have 1,2GB internet speed download and 300MB upload. Dont know life in Romania was there once when i was just a kid we had a big visit from middle school lasting 3 weeks where we were visited like 20 countries in europe.
                        But it was good experience. Since i start earning after school and run own bussiness i travel a lot to meet and greet new people see new places etc.
                        ňAnd like you said companiesd does not care they are here for profit dont care how people lives here and there but every little counts so if a guy from Zimbabwe or Etiopia for example buys A16 samsung it counts if a big company or people from richer countries like US for example buy 1000000+ of Samsung A16 it counts too.
                        Some places are even worse than said Zanzibar.
                        Try Maori in Grand Comoria isles.
                        Honestly 50 years ago it was just 4 small isles with just some tribes in there before they meet real civilization and even after 50 years finding a decent hotel in there is difficult but at least good honest people works there unlike some other.
                        There are some places like that tribe in pacific ocean which is better to leave em be to live to their ways ideas and gods.
                        But Czech Republic, Prag, Brno or Slovakia is nice and decent country.
                        Only major problem with our people is they like to make mess.
                        Comapred to Austria or Switzerland or Canada mess is everywhere.
                        At least not as much as in Zanzibar or Domenician Republic.

                          There are a lot of strange cases in the world. I know at some point some tribe in the South America region (near Amazon) didn't knew airplanes existed. It was some news couple of years ago about them. And I know airplanes usually need to stay clear of that small area, where the tribe is living, to not mess with their believes and so on.

                          But anyway, I think when phone companies release some new phone, they don't target these people in these very poor countries. I mean, yeah is sad that many people in the world are living in very poor conditions, but I don't think phone companies care about them in the first place, as possible clients.

                          Also, regarding the internet connection, is not necessarily direct proportionate with the quality of life. I am Romanian, and I can tell you that we had one of the first and best internet connection in Europe (and even in the world at some point). I had internet in Romania since 1999 for example, and good internet connection (300Mbps-500Mbps) since 15-20 years ago maybe. And back then the country was one of the poorest in Europe.
                          Since couple of years, I am living in Czechia (technically better country overall), and here the internet connection is worse than Africa maybe (lol). And is not even a joke. I live in the second biggest city of the country (in the city center), and I have 100Mbps. In 2024, lol.

                            They used to be one the best regarding this aspect, when they were under Google wing... I truly hope they return to this. Maybe this new Hello UI is helping this aspect.

                            My wife is about ot get the neo 50 I'm confident they will honor their promise.....let's see

There are many places like Zanzibar at least 70 among 206 countries in world are poor or worse than poor and lowest 30 or 10 are completely out of money people barely have to live not to buy phones pay for internet etc.
                              Silly is for you. At first i would reccomend to explore world then talk.
                              In my life i paid visit to around 100 countries in world and honestly some places are like unreal for someone comming from US or Europe.
                              Cant explain you because you have ti see it on your own.
                              Feel free to enjoy warm and cozy place you live in because you have no idea about world, countries, people and regions.

                                motorola promised 2 android updates for motorola edge 40. However, in the list of phones that will get Android 15, edge 40 is missing. Will moto edge 40 get A15???

                                    Moto X update was faster than nexus before. samsung never been close plus also keyboard n bluetooth been too long in trouble (I use flagship) but motorola always mean stability and better battery life

I have Xiaomi users around me complaining why they don't have an update for many years but the people around them already have.
                                        Is changing regions or using a pc software an option? Region change usually fixes Xiaomi' s delayed or non existent updates.
