        Just wonder why news outlets do not put accent on software support and updates?

          What an absurd — a gaming phone with a hole in the screen and a huge camera block that makes it uncomfortable to hold.
          ZTE, on the other hand - has an under-display selfie camera and no camera bump, along with being cheaper (win, win, win)

            Maybe Snapdragon 8 Elite is faster than Apple chipset like M2?

                    I know this may sound petty but I did remember 3 years ago when someone commented on Zenfone 8 review with it's 4.5 stars and said "Let's see if Sony could get 4.5 stars with their devices" considering in 2021, 1 III only got 4.0 stars and 5 III got 4.3 stars and it was most hated flagship at that time in this site. Fast forward today, Zenfone no longer have their flagship Compact devices (Sony Xperia too), Zenfone 11 Ultra (and probably 12 Ultra too) is a rebranded ROG Phone 8 and get the same amount of hate as 1 III, an unable to achieved 4.5 stars since then (Zenfone 9 to 11 maxed at 4.3-4.4), meanwhile 1 IV got 4.4 stats and both 1 V and 1 VI received 4.5 stars in their review here despite still causing controvers, but fared better than the Zenfone series currently. Well, if that wasn't karma, I don't know then what it is. This despite I have Asus Zenfone 14 Flip OLED as my daily driver.

                        Another overpriced Asus with lackluster software support, no servicing available outside Asia and crappy cameras (for a $1000+ phone).

                            Not interesting. Just launch a small Zenfone 12 please, surely the Zenfone 11 Ultra was a flop.

                                very suitable for this powerful and power hungry SoC... any flagship should be enough SD 7+ and Dimensity 8000. This current mid range SoC is as fast as the 8 Gen 2 and 9200.
