Patent wise, China have the biggest 5G patent, lead by Huawei, ZTE, Xiaomi, Vivo.
Qualcomm look pale in front of China's 5G patent. Apple:Qualcomm 5G patent is 1:100.

Xiaomi without China and India probably wouldn't look so good. How many Xiaomi sells of eg Ultra, Pro and 14th (15) models? Without a whole range of cheaper ones ? Google starts new Pixels with just 2 models (noww 3), doesn't offer dozens of devices because it has a different strategy.
Google produces phones as one of their products and they focus more on services. Pixel smartphones are popular in Canada, USA or Japan for example. Google is expanding sales. In Europe, they were only in Germany and France, for example but you couldn't buy their phones in Poland, Czech Republic or Hungary (only unofficially without Google's guarantee), now its change.
Xiaomi and other Chinese companies have been copying the design (and not only) of Sony, iPhone, Samsung, LG and Nokia for years. Charning speed is important, but whether you have 40-60 or 100W? 100W its not good for battery and it's not entirely safe.
Not so important jak iOS system or Smasung UI.

Nokia, Samsung, Apple ever had to do this to Chinese companies so many times?
Of course Apple argued in court with Samsung but these companies created the smartphone market and apart from mass cheap sales in the US and the European Union people value Samsung, Apple, Sony, Pixel.
Xiaomi and Huawei gained space because Nokia unfortunately chose Windows Phone - which killed sales, since you have an undeveloped system with no applications. If not for this no Chinese company would have a chance in Western countries. Try to find cheap iPhone or Galaxy on ebay...and look how much you need to pay after a year for Galaxy Ultra or iPhone vs Xiaomi phones.

My problem with hyper os is battery optimization and ads. The battery life on those devices is considerably poor because they always push the processor to its limits all the time hence higher operating temperatures. If hyper os got it's battery optimizations right , its a step towards the right direction because the OS is new and needs time to be as polished as MIUI. Am also expecting the snapdragon elite to overheat in this device because of hyper os

Xiaomi definition of premium segment is above $350 when should be at least $600.

Even in US(where is their main selling region) they have less than 5% (3.23 in July) of market, And TBH, Xiaomi sells more $600+ phones than google and Sony (source: https://www.counterpointresearch.com/insights/global-premium-smartphone-market-continues-record-growth-2023/) in all around the world almost all of premium sold phone are apple, a little Samsung, and talking about china, there is Huawei too. Seeing people using other brands flagship is a rare case in almost everywhere.

Pixels are far cheaper in the US than most countries due to promotions and trade-in offers. They sell okay, but mostly people are buying Apple and Samsung phones in the US.

Pixel won't sell outside the US just because it's not dual sim.
second, the "PURE ANDROID" is a myth.
Pixel is ugly compared to Xiaomi, Vivo, Huawei, Oppo, Honor.
Then, Pixel also charge slow.
Charging speed is important in non western.
Even Samsung can't compete with the Chinese and getting beat hard.

THB people dont like Xiaomiu UI, dont konow about Asia countries but in past people choice Xiaomi only because it was cheaper. Amount of chips wanted, price, how many batches will be given and when.
Development of 8 elite was faster than expected.
Chinese phones want to sell phones now to try to decrease interest in iphones in China.
They would not get better price if they waited until February or June to announce the phones.
