Really? What are US waiting for? They can just attack China and claim It was a preventive attack to protect Taiwan and their national interests.
Yet they didn't do so, because they are scared sh**less of that tofu navy and army.
US for the last couple decades attacked only a much weaker country and even that not alone after the beat-up they received in Vietnam.

      "discovered".. right...

Anonymous, 23 Oct 2024So once again, the West makes it and the East perfects it. ... moreNo, China just uses far cheaper labor and materials for their own products due to a weaker currency and economy, as a result of their overpopulation and communism. If China made things "better", people wouldn't shell out more money for better-made stuff that didn't fall apart or become hopelessly obsolete in 12-18 months.

Fa14bi, 23 Oct 2024Taiwan effectively owns the US. If the US doesn't ... moreLiterally one of the dumbest things anyone could possibly say.

PepperPot, 23 Oct 2024It's always the same shhhhh with Huawei. They can'... moreHuawei's hands really are dirty or USA want the world to think that way because its part of American Red Scare 2.0 campaign?

Yes... but what about Xiaomi? Aren't we forgetting other Chinese phone manufacturers?

The problem with smuggling chips at all is that your business, no matter where it's located, is telling the world that you're not honest enough or resourceful enough to make open deals and get computer chips from manufacturers that are available.

I have no doubt that China has chip manufacturing plants, and they already have access to other parts of the world that makes chips, even if that excludes the United States. Whatever business in China that is doing this is unethical and shady, and should be avoided at all costs - too bad we probably won't get to know who they are, though I understand somewhat why the U.S. government want to keep this under wraps for now.

If the US doesn't help Taiwan, then China can take it and the US economy that is so dependent on getting TSMC chips collapses.

China can just say no and suddenly every US phone now had to rely qnd Samsung and everyone gets to have an Overheating phone with bad battery life or a really good Chinese one as they own TSMC.
