Hardware - China is rapidly catching up
Software - China is years behind.

I hope they will allow you to disable the branded red 1 in the clock, widgets and lock screen. I find it uncomfortable and hard to see.

Yeah, I'm still holding onto my OnePlus 7 Pro. This is a very sad state of OxygenOS—almost pathetic. Guess I may wait a few months until the iPhone 16 Pro drops a bit in price and snatch a 256GB version. Right now, the savings in cost aren't even that big, with OnePlus sticking to large phones without a smaller option and knockoff iOS. Google offering a mid-tier chip for A18 level pricing, and Samsung still facing many issues.

I purchased OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G mobile.
Bad phone 📱 not a good video calling and audio calls. Now sometime we have been facing call connect problem.

          Don't buy any OnePlus product....

Most people won't be bothered by that, but it's nice they managed to do that. Not a single person, when using phone with that animations, won't say that it's worse than the old way. It will just be smoother. iPhones are praised for that smoothness and it's true, I had iPhone 13 Pro before OnePlus Open and it's great phone to use in that matter.

Avoid OnePlus if you want to root your phone.
They don't offer the stock firmware for download from their official servers like Xiaomi does. Therefore it's much more difficult to patch the boot.img

"It reminded us of those pointless videos on YouTube, where people open apps rapidly on two phones side by side as if it proves something"
This triggers quite a lot of people on social media tbf

Has anyone tested yet if they fixed desktop mode? Can't seem to find any info on it..

Yes all UIs now look almost the same but that's kinda bad because now the UI won't be a deciding factor to wether buy a phone or not

Any green line issue in oxygen os 15

Looks nicer in my opinion, and especially feels smoother and is generally faster. My 8T benefitted greatly from OOS12 and OOS13, a lot faster all of a sudden.

I don't know why chinese phone companies are obsessed with Ios looks. Every android skin from china is IOS inspired and it's getting boring now. In the long run, we are going to have different android skins with similar user interface (I don't know who told them that we want IOS UI on Android phones).

Only thing left to do besides going for them is to go to the dark side (move to Apple).

Still have an old oneplus with me (5) that runs on android 10 with older and real oxygen OS. Those were the days

I am someone who started using OnePlus mainly because of the stock like OxygenOS and it was a pleasure to use it. I loved every aspect of it. I was almost going to upgrade my OnePlus 7T to the latest version of OnePlus flagship when they introduced The Coloured Oxygen OS. I was hoping that they may eventually turn it in to More stock like but unfortunately it went the other way. The wait is over and I will be now moving to another non Chinese brand. THANKS AND GOOD BYE ONEPLUS!

xfrqnx, 25 Oct 2024Color OSNothing new. It is based on ColorOS since OxygenOS 11.1 back with OnePlus Nord 2.
