        In Genshin Impact, 8 Elite consumes 4.6W, whereas 8 Gen 3 consumes 6.2W.
        In Honkai: Star Rail, 8 Elite consumes 5.9W, whereas 8 Gen 3 consumes 8.0W. Also, 8 Elite is much more stable than 8 Gen 3 in this game.
        In Wuthering Waves, 8 Elite consumes 5.3W, whereas 8 Gen 3 consumes 8.4W. Again, 8 Elite is much more stable than 8 Gen 3 in this game.
        In Honor of Kings, 8 Elite consumes 1.92W, whereas 8 Gen 3 consumes 2.58W.

        Across all the games tested with frame interpolation, 8 Elite still consumes less power than 8 Gen 3 without frame interpolation.

        And 8 Elite runs significantly cooler than 8 Gen 3.

        However, they're concerned with the OnePlus 13's battery life, but currently, the OnePlus 13 has not been completely unlocked many things. They can’t talk about it yet.

          Both new chips use 2-3x the total energy (mWh) to complete the test and the gains are negligible because all they do is avoid frame dips by feeding insane power (source 2 for high res images). So if your gaming on 8 Elite/D9400 over current gen what you get is 59.9 fps instead of 58-59 fps and your battery drains twice to three times as fast. 🤡

          EDIT: 1% lows improved by 55-75% but is it worth the hit in battery?

            Genshin, Honkai...in Europe some are plain illegal as being cash grabs and gambling advertising slot machine simulators.. test with something like Diablo or a normal game. If such exists on Android, that is

              Just let 1st user of new 1st setup of Qualcomm test them. remember on what happen on SD8 gen 1 from previous sd 888?
              So lets wait for 2nd gen or 3rd of this New SOC.

                  Android game libarary is outdated, there is no console game ported to android like ios with resident evil 4 remake. I can say there is no reason to upgrade from previous gen.

It can basically double your fps effectively so it is a massive game changer but nothing new. I use it in genshin on my 12R.

                              SD 8 Elite is now best for gaming. But the D9400 still holds close, and now puts second place.

                              But hell, power consumption gets increase a bit, which may require to have larger 6000mAh+ battery cap of newer phones have that chip. Its no joke, when playing heavy games within 11W or as more on CPU.

                              We'll see if the Xiaomi 15 Pro do something with the power limits if they push beyond, or just the same power as the 14 series with improved efficiency, but not the best performance at low watts

                                Hyper os is somehow going to mess the battery efficiency of this chip. I will judge the full potential of this chip when it's running colors or oxygen os because they are excellent at battery efficiency .

                                    Something is wrong. All flagships run genshi at same resolution, still OnePlus is advertising 120fps while Xiaomi 59.9 .

                                      this is absolute wrong information.........how 8 gen 3 is more efficient when its proven on multiple videos that it draws 8W in genshin imapct while D9400 uses 5.5W? 8elite is closer to 9400 than 8 gen3
                                      unless xioami has destroyed 8elite with bad software

                                        Is there going to be a Snapdragon 8 "Peasant" version? This chip us overpowered, nobody needs that much power except some people who are addicted to gaming.
