Xiaomi 15 series ace gaming tests ahead of launch

Snapdragon 8 Elite stacks up nicely with the Dimensity 9400 while drawing less power.

Hyper os is somehow going to mess the battery efficiency of this chip. I will judge the full potential of this chip when it's running colors or oxygen os because they are excellent at battery efficiency .

Something is wrong. All flagships run genshi at same resolution, still OnePlus is advertising 120fps while Xiaomi 59.9 .

this is absolute wrong information.........how 8 gen 3 is more efficient when its proven on multiple videos that it draws 8W in genshin imapct while D9400 uses 5.5W? 8elite is closer to 9400 than 8 gen3
unless xioami has destroyed 8elite with bad software

Is there going to be a Snapdragon 8 "Peasant" version? This chip us overpowered, nobody needs that much power except some people who are addicted to gaming.

"The latest Qualcomm chip does, however, consume significantly more power than the outgoing Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 throughout the tests."

Thats because the tester either forgot to double the power usage when measuring phones with dual batteries, or you guys forgot to check if its mentioned in the source. Because geekerwan already tested and its a lot better than 8g3, and doubling the power of 8g3 in those images equals to what they got in their tests of 8g3 phones.

And people here expecting the Snapdragon 8 Elite will be hotter than the Dimensity 9400

                Nice,couple that a large battery.

That efficiency is a deal killer. Hopefully its just optimization issues

It is a very beautiful thing to see the D9400 & SD 8 Elite by far surpass apple silicon. - Now most of these benchmarks are prototype, reference devices... Thing is... As we already know. - OEMs are very good at squeezing out even more raw performance from these SoC's. Optimizing & refining. - Which concludes something else here... - Those single core scores, multi core and GPU scores are only going to increase. Therefore. Even already. The single core score is so close to Apple. But soon. Will probably be just less than 2 or 3% less than Apple. And already the multi core score is flying past Apple. And will only increase over time via optimization... The GPUs are hypersonic compared to Apple... And guess what... Those will increase too... The best GPU right now is really surprising... It's Dimensity's... And the worst GPU so far, by quite an amount is apple's GPU... - Well. Let's close the chapter on apple now. As Android is an ultimate powerhouse. Apple has lost the race. And the chapter is closed for Apple now. 2025 and beyond is Androids year... I cannot wait to get my hands on the Rog phone 9 pro. With maxed out specs... Pubg all the way! I really would like RoG to allow for a choice of SoC's between Dimensity and Snapdragon... I would love to try the Dimensity for a change. Because that GPU is absolutely insanely mind blowing for a phone... Sure the 8 Elite is awesome. And powerful. But that Dimensity GPU is on another few levels. No. 1 GPU on a phone right now, by far too.

if the 15 series ace the gaming tests then the X200 series demolished it. Xiaobai and Geekerwan had great videos comparing the Dimensity chip to the snapdragon one, xiaobai showed the numbers of the X200 Pro and that phone is nearly, if not basically, on par with the Oneplus 13, a "gaming"/"speed" focused phone.

                        Lower ram speed?
