Don't even bother. Review of last gen shows all Japanese smartphone makers (the few that are left) are way way behind the curve in image processing so everything looks like late 2010s' quality

Essentially Find X7 Ultra minus the secondary telephoto lens plus Leica flavour. I like how you can easily make it compatible with 62mm lens filters by buying a dedicated magnetic filter attachment ring.

I have concerns about Sharp's IGZO though. Unfortunately, Aquos' panels have been NOTORIOUS for factory defects and I have zero faith in Sharp's quality control when it comes to mobile displays. 240Hz (although it's more of a 120Hz with black frame insertion) refresh rate is nice but nowadays specs aren't everything.

Realistically, if they can see, and the colors aren't weird, it's good enough. That's why I shoot 1080p60 for video so the shutter doesn't go slower than 1/60th in lowlight.
Proper cameras exist. Nikon Z30 or a Lumix TZ220 is a starter. Either way big money Youtubers like WhistlinDiesel still create content on their iPhones and no one cares outside of phone comparisons.

It's Sharp enough to me and specs are promising.

I wonder if it will get a global version. A friend of mine is traveling to Europe soon and I might ask him to bring me a flagship phone.

while I do not think having the latest chip is that big of a deal, my question instead is why didn't they go for a dimensity 9400 instead if they wanted to save money? Like the 8s gen 3 is just a slightly underclocked 8 gen 3 right? And the 8 gen 3 is 200 dollars meaning the the 8s is cheaper than that yet the dimensity 9400 is around 150 right yet it's a better performer overall, so why not go for it?

                                        Lovely hardware.

Bring out a global version that works well with European GSM bands, supports Android Auto and such... and gets good camera performance reviews (hardware is crucial, but software matters too)... and it might just worth be a buy.
