403 Forbidden, 30 Oct 2024By that case, that's mean One UI is just TouchWiz lol.Tbh I've never use a pixel phone before, but out of HONOR/HUAWEI, Smasnug, Xiaomi. I liked xiaomi's HyperOS skin the best tbh. that's not to say it's perfect. far from it, but in terms or features and the general "feeling" I'm very satisfied.

403 Forbidden, 30 Oct 2024By that case, that's mean One UI is just TouchWiz lol. There are much much more difference better TouchWiz and One UI, lol. What is closer is Samsung experience and One UI.

On the other hand, there are very few differences between MIUI and HyperUI.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2024"Linux (the real Linux, not distro version) " ... moreHalf truth!

Linux is a family of OSs based on Linus kernel. It could be called an OS, because it's essentially the system. In that regard, it's VERY similar to Symbian, which doesn't have an integrated UI. Nokia used s60. Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, NEC, Fujtisu etc used UIQ.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2024So this is still gonna be a version 1.0 of the OS with all ... moreno HyperOS is not alpha or beta. It is quite stable actually since it's basically a copy of MIUI with a ton of bloatware added on top which is why it's so slow. They should've gone the opposite way and remove all the bloatware from MIUI to make it faster. Instead they made it slower.

Xiaomi Redmi Poco users who are gonna be stuck on HyperOS 1.0 and 2.0 both are gonna regret buying phone/tablet with alpha/beta level software at best.

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2024They said HyperOS (1) was rebuild from scratch as well.Sure but this time isn't Xiaomi's marketing speaking, it is a renowned chinese tech channel who made these conclusions. They are very reliable and knowledgeable.

AI really is the new buzzword huh

Anonymous, 30 Oct 2024Not a developer/programmer here but I find it amusing that ... moreThey are relocating from UK (RISCV) as much as I know. I admire simplicity and front end ISA (128 bit and final 256 bit) of it and think if hucked up properly to accelerators it has tremendous potential. As after all it's pretty much about sustainable FP rather than integer and sustainable parallel. Linus just twisted in Yankee dudle mod in behalf of Greg who is actually doing heavy lifting and is as good for the job of maintainer as one could be. Why Greg did something which leads to consequences of dividing community is question for him. Some might really be trolls but most were not and now many more will be too follow stopping to contribute. He ain't small and accounted for much more (good stuff). Followed his work on scheduler optimisations when I whose more into it couple years back.
What's holding us back? I lost hope in a reliable well documented computing platform that I would like to have as developer and stopped doing it. It whose about second mainlining attempt from Huawei when US decided to blow it and in the meantime we didn't get a step closer of achieving that goal for a SoC at least. What's good out IP you paid for which you can't use for many things you hoped for? It's not about how US or some even worse government could abuse (as that's pretty much all they are doing) it's potential and after all encryption will continue to advance unparalleled to actual hardware advances.
